  1. That's the one...though my rain gauge was showing 3.51" yesterday since midnight.
  2. How much do you want to spend? I have the Ambient 2902 - you can get it for less than $200. It's simple to install and provides everything that I would want. And it's accurate too.
  3. Given Canderson's report, it definitely gives pause when considering what MDT reported. On the flipside, all of the Coop reports were completely in line with what I reported. (Including Middletown and Harrisburg) As you said, it's a big mess and at this point...it's going to remain that way. 14.69" is my official monthly total. Period.
  4. 61 here and I'm expecting somewhere around 72-ish.
  5. I really don't care what the airport receives, with snow it's all about my backyard. (and the front for that matter :)) I honestly don't care about rain either, but what the NWS is reporting for MDT doesn't fall in line with the town it's situated in. And it's not even remotely close.
  6. I understand and empathize with you. How can there be such a disparity in numbers? If we were talking tenths of an inch I'd sort of understand. But how does MDT receive over 2" less than the town it sits on the outskirts of? This wasn't some isolated thunderstorm.
  7. The whole rain amount issue from yesterday is bugging the heck out of me. It's time to let it go now. It's a gorgeous day with more to follow!
  8. I mean...the LOWEST total on CTP's report is nearly 3"!
  9. I don't understand this at all (not you...the official numbers) when virtually every station within a 25 mile radius of both MDT and LNS were between 3-4". I checked with several friends that have rain gauges and every one of 'em had well over 3". The numbers reported on that graph seem to be perfectly aligned to every actual measurement I've obtained.
  10. Well...this matches up VERY well with my 3.86" for the event. Elizabethtown coming in at 3.82" and MDT at 3.84"...
  11. As I said 2 days ago... Although, I'm surprised by how lousy the Phillies lineup did against minor league pitching the last 2 nights. Hard to believe how close Baltimore came to sweeping the series.
  12. The lanternflies aren't that bad here...at least not nearly on the level of the mosquitoes. I guess 15" of rain in 3 weeks will do that...
  13. Just went for a walk along the river. Two observations: The weather is spectacular. The Mosquitoes are quite possibly worse in wooded areas than I've experienced in my lifetime outside of Alaska. We had to bail and walk along Market Street in Marietta. We were absolutely getting swarmed.
  14. 3.86" final total. Very close to @CarlislePaWx total. (3.77")
  15. Yeah, the skies brightened considerably here right before it started dumping...again.
  16. I wasn't there on Saturday, I was watching on my big screen. I had to go out back after the game ended. I'm heading up to see the Hoosiers and the Fightin' Illini...
  17. No silly, that happened over the weekend following the PSU game...
  18. Looks like I'll end up shy of 15" for the month - sitting at 14.69" now.
  19. Good...the axis of rain was oriented that you were directly in the path of what fell here.
  20. Just talked to someone in Marietta (one mile from me) and he's at 4.11" for the event. Flooding in many places. I feel MUCH better now about my totals. I'm at 3.81" and the rain has slowed to a drizzle.
  21. I really don't believe my station is wrong. I'm dumbfounded at the report from MDT though, which gave me pause. It is so dark here that I can't see to work without all of the lights on.
  22. I sure did, and as I said earlier, I heard nothing at all. I was stunned when I looked at the station. Speaking of which, I'm going to make a serious run at 4". I'm up to 3.61" for the event now. Still raining.
  23. Looks to me like we'll end up with very similar totals. I'm ready for some great fall weather as well!
