  1. 2nd area behind the first batch looks promising...
  2. It's also falling apart in the southern counties.
  3. So the official definition of Partly Sunny, according to the NWS: (sounds like your sky conditions do NOT match the stated criteria) The NWS definition states that between 3/8 and 5/8 of the sky is covered by clouds when it's classified as partly cloudy or partly sunny. Sometimes, a "mix of sun and clouds" is used by some forecasters instead of "partly sunny" during the daytime hours, though it is not an official NWS term.
  4. Yes it is. Don't allow it to meet it's demise in the great valley.
  5. Same thing for my yard, except it's my front yard that is lush and my backyard is drying out quickly. I did complete mow #25 on Saturday...some areas needed it, other areas notsomuch.
  6. 77 and sticky out there this morning. Really hoping for some rain later on today.
  7. Sunny and 86. The quintessential summer day.
  8. Sunny and 84 at 1:10pm. Beautiful summer day.
  9. Happy Independence Day to all. I will be training pieces of wood on the fire pit this evening.
  10. We need a colorful 384 hour projected dew point map...
  11. Splendid day it was. Wondering if you stayed cooler in part due to wet ground?
  12. Probably- only because we're due? 3rd straight day of 90+ here. 14 days so far for the season.
  13. 89 here. Humidity is down but it's hot in the sun.
  14. 88 and sunny. Didn't think I'd get this close to 90.
  15. 84/58 here now. Delayed but not denied. Also - it rained here after midnight. Gauge had .05" this morning. Not much, but .05" more than yesterday.
  16. 80/68 here at 10:55 - not very comfortable yet.
  17. I'm sorry for any property damage and overall inconvenience the storm caused. Unfortunately the ground truth verified how nasty the storm looked on radar. A lot of people we know suffered from this storm, including my mother and my son and daughter in law who are still without power now. It's why I hate severe weather. I guess there's appeal for some to track, but who wants it to verify in their own neighborhood? The storm missed me by 4/10ths of a mile. That was how far I drove and ran into running water after the storm passed. By the time I had traveled one mile I started seeing branches down everywhere. It was that close.
  18. This is so true on days like today when cells pop, pulse, and peter out.
  19. Storm crossing the river has a nice hail signature on it. Sure looks like it will clip your home and perhaps bullseye Rohrerstown. Unfortunately it will miss me (most likely) by no more than a couple of miles. Literally.
  20. It's currently 90 here with a dewpoint of 72. Right now it feels nothing like a windows open kubd of night. LOL
  21. Storm formed 5 miles due south of me and is now moving away. Close...but a big whiff.
  22. 89 here at 1:30. Something doesn't feel right outside as far as storms are concerned. Not sure what it is...wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't rain though.
  23. Ir states peak winds of 15-25mph. That's not really much higher than a lot of days on OBX. Fortunately for the vacationers, the winds appear as if they are well below what the Hurricane Center was originally calling for.
  24. Warmest low of the year so far overnight at 75. Hoping for some rain later on today.
  25. Same here. Also, my temp has been holding at 81 for 2 solid hours. Pretty much a lock that my low will be in the 70s tonight.
