  1. Pretty heavy rain and strong gusts came through about an hour ago.
  2. Probably will, usually the case with warm anomalies like today.
  3. Absolutely ripping downpours, hail, and deep thunder. Sure doesn't feel like the end of December.
  4. Right, it's as if November and December provide a tease, January is a transition and can go either way, then February/March turns the switch on. I could deal with a longer winter if we could actually get rid of the cold and rainy April into May stretches that have also become common.
  5. It's a heck of a trend to say the least. Almost expected at this point.
  6. You could always take a loan out on a used car for a smaller amount too if building credit is the goal. That's what I typically do, never bought new. As for brand, I love Ford. The Ecoboost is good from what I hear, but I've only had the 5.0 V8.
  7. I've seen better, but not a bad squall. I was more surprised by the several bouts of wind blown snow we had, despite getting maybe .50" or so.
  8. Yeah yesterday was a lot "snowier" than I thought it would be, but not much out of it. Next week looks to moderate.
  9. @rgwp96 any idea what we got? Been a very cold/windy evening with a couple squalls. I think it's about .50" maybe.
  10. Yeah not a place I'd want to be under any circumstances.
  11. Gotta be either Sierra Nevada or Cascades. Need a heck of a moisture feed for that. Way more than we get in an entire season over a three day period, insane.
  12. Flagstaff has a very interesting climate and beautiful scenery. For that matter, I'm a fan of the western U.S. in general. My dilemma would be choosing what "landscape" to live near. I like Montana and being in foothills of the Rockies, yet at the same time the high elevation parts of Arizona and New Mexico are intriguing too.
  13. Pretty bad icing for us in Morris County. Hopefully the last of the season.
  14. Lol, yeah I agree. I'm just one of those technical people that likes it perfect. Just like the misconception that the solstice means that sunset is the earliest of the year.
  15. Lmao, then I must add you to my ignore list. No but all jokes aside, I personally hate the meteorological standard. Our seasons are not determined by the calendar.
  16. The metro has had several massive blizzards/storms in the last few years, 2015/2016/2018. Granted I know not everyone cashed in on all three, but we've become so accustomed to big storms nowadays. What we are really due for is a more front-loaded winter that has multiple smaller events and then by April we turn the switch to Spring and never look back.
  17. I've noticed the trees looking distressed for sure. Some, not all of course, lost their vibrant and rich green color like you mentioned. As for the sunset, well, that's always the first thing I notice (unfortunately). The decline into September is inevitable. I always accept it, but must admit, year after year I get that sad/nostalgic feeling that my favorite season is over. A lot of this hobby is preference; what kinds of things you do and don't enjoy. That's why I've learned to leave good old Anthony alone lol. I still have no tolerance for wrong information (not saying this applies to him), like when people say Summer is nearly half over a week or two after the solstice.
  18. Very true. Btw, you ended up with a great Summer weekend for the wedding. Have fun and congrats!
  19. Had some humidity this summer no doubt, but last was way worse. I enjoy the heat and wouldn't even want that back.
  20. Alright, I see what you're saying. An April event would be interesting since we had an early storm this year.
  21. An F- lol, what was 11-12 or 97-98 then? I mean I totally agree that all the hype was a joke, but we did still get some cold shots and snow. Without the November and early March storms it would have been way worse, but I'd give this winter a C-.
  22. I care Rob Anyway, hoping for a drier spring and less humid summer. When is golf season?
  23. Aren't you kind of rooting for warmth at this point too though? We've had rainstorm after rainstorm, and when the cold finally comes in, we can't even manage a few inches of snow.
  24. Very true. As I said earlier, it's been so hard to get a true snowstorm this year.
