  3. Backside thump coming in...snowing hard here ATM...and starting to stick
  4. 29...same here...got a rink on my deck and the front steps are covered...and there's accretion on the trees...hope it will switch over to snow...would like to keep the lights on...everyone stay safe and warm.
  5. Brrrr...walked outside and it's definitely got that snowy feel...If you've ever worked in a grocery store and been in the frozen food cooler-you know what I'm talking about...that super cold metallic smell and the cold just wraps you up...it's coming!

  8. Several places here along Todd Railroad Grade road are in terrible shape from those rains
  9. Just to note-the largest snows we've had in NC occurred in March and April... March 13, 1993 and April 2-6, 1987 Not ready to stamp a 'grade' on this winter yet... I will stamp a 'grade' the first week of April

  12. That system next Friday, 2/21 looks interesting and talked to an older man up here and he said that this winter reminded him of 1993...but I don't have the resources to 'fact-check' that...but I do remember March 1993...would welcome any resources to check that claim...
  13. Yes, very sad news indeed....just heard that they confirmed 9 dead, not 5 as previously announced.

  15. That is true...roads around Todd and Meat Camp today are in terrible condition. Wish everyone safe travels today.
  16. Sup. drives me nuts with a 2-hour delay...gaining nothing as temps go from 14 to 15 in 2 hours...the delay gains them nothing
