    Looks like a cold snap heading towards us. We had some lightning up here Tuesday…according to my daughter. She was up near Elk Knob and said it was thundering. Snow for the weekend? Feels like a little thump coming through.

    Decent snow here at the moment…about 1” and just hit a toasty 23…looks like Boston is about to get clobbered.

    33 here and moderate snow failing, large nickel and quarter sized flakes. 7 miles N of Boone, Meat Camp at 3646’

    Agreed..was working over on Shull’s Mill and ravens were down, talking behind The Gamekeeper restaurant (it’s awesome little hidden jewel here) and thinking we gonna get a little 5” thump up here in Avery and Watauga. NWFS….???

    Wednesday morning…sorry it’s late but been working-lol! That’s our main road with about 26” before DOT could hit it! And btw-shout out to our local DOT crews for their work!

    Steady fine snow still falling, a crisp 18 and some strong gusts continue. 7 miles N of Boone at 3664’

    Steady strong winds and snow coming down solid, yet horizontally. 18 degrees and hard to tell exactly how much more fell overnight with the winds but looks like at least 2 more. Meat Camp 3364’

    About 2” here just N of Boone. Falling fast, tiny wet flakes-like it’s ‘raining’ snow. Sitting at a balmy 17.

    My temp just dropped 3 clicks in like 15 minutes to 18…and it’s snowing really solid atm!

    This backside deal looks more and more impressive! Just not super excited for the winds when this rolls out…they’re gonna be brutal here imby! Steady light snow atm, here in Meat Camp, E side of Elk Knob at 3664’…21 and gonna surprise the fam this morning with some cheesy sausage balls.
