  1. Nice to see @Deck Picposting in the winter thread even if it may not be good news for snow chances.
  2. Not much here. I’ve got some yellows mixed in on my elm tree. That one holds leaves for a long time going from bright yellow to golden, and then dropping all at once. Also, as expected, there are some maples changing too, but again, not much.
  3. If it can be seasonable in October, I’ll take warm over cold only because I can’t remember anything good coming from a cold October.
  4. The Paris-Roubaix race right now is insane! It’s a mud fest!
  5. Time sensitive, but a surfer taking advantage of large swells in Ocean City this morning. https://oceancitylive.com/ocean-city-webcams/castle-in-the-sand/
  6. How is Byrd stadium these days? I was never impressed with it, but I haven’t been there in years.
  7. Just beautiful weather recently, especially the cool mornings. Precipitation-wise, according to CoCoRaHS, my annual average rainfall is 44.72”. This past water year (Oct 1 - Sep 30) I recorded 51.39”.
  8. I like the fall foliage thread.
  9. DCA: 11/30 IAD: 11/4 BWI: 11/4 RIC: 11/4 Tiebreaker: 1.50"
  10. No. The only stoutish beer that they have now is a porter, Dark Path. It’s good but not a traditional stout. https://untappd.com/b/nepenthe-brewing-co-dark-path/4356286 They have brewed this in the past and hopefully again this fall/winter. https://untappd.com/b/nepenthe-brewing-co-aphotic-ruin-chocolate-hazelnut/3658399
  11. Just got off at Nepenthe and enjoying their Oktoberfest.
  12. Man, the Whistling Straits course is beautiful! They’re playing so early that I thought I was watching them from across the pond.
  13. Got two of their Dripped in my fridge. I think their anniversary celebration is this weekend.
  14. This was supposed to be for the first cold night, but I couldn’t wait.
  15. We need a special emoji for special posts.
  16. Welcome home. I’ve missed waking up early to your even earlier obs.
  17. I’ll bet the newly seeded areas look good!
  18. .76" in the gauge this morning. Hoping the front clears today and getting in a breezy whiskey walk this evening.
  19. Sounding very @Jebman’ish, and I’ll eat crow if I’m wrong, but I think tomorrow is going to be storm-train central along the 95 corridor. Even @WxUSAF will be pleased.
