February 13  Temperatures have stabilized and we are making good progress repairing damage from recent warm weather and rain.  Today we expect to have approximately 10K of XC ski trail open.  Lake Trail and Olavin Uni will be open with fresh grooming and power tilled granular surface.  Vasa and Karhu via Leilan Latu will be open with surface groomed yesterday, they will be firm in the morning softening a bit as temperatures rise into the mid 30s.  No fresh snow here this morning – the storm tracked way south where some people don’t even want the snow.  Forecasts look very good for a moderate snow here Thursday night, right in time to freshen things up for the holiday weekend!

That place is pretty awesome.  Or at least it was when I was there about 30 years ago.  Gorgeous scenery and excellent trails.

Snow is just to my western doorstep.

The dryslot is a bummer but there’s precip redeveloping to the southwest and with the pivot, I think there still could be a few hours of good snows this morning.

Thought about you today. A group of us are camping in the Middletown area at Bear Spring cabin. Did a 15 miler today to Brunswick on the AT and C&O. Sipping a few before heading back to the cabin.

Well, to be fair, he hasn’t been charged, and even if he does, he’s innocent until proven guilty. What I find interesting is that the date of the incident was a week before the AFC Championship game. Makes me wonder if the Ravens (and the NFL) knew about it a week before the game.
