  1. If I think about, I can’t see straight. He “lived” a block from me, though I think he probably didn’t live anywhere very long. I keep trying to find a picture of him because I’m sure that I would recognize him. Hopefully he gets the maximum sentence. I have the first four Jilly mugs from the mug club, and I just re-upped a couple of weeks ago, so my fifth mug is dust. That should be enough for an extra 25 years.
  2. A little over .5” here, and a soggy morning at the dump to unload yard waste.
  3. I’m confused. What’s the big deal with a spiking positive AO in November? It seems to me that it would be a waste if the AO was to dive negative in mid November when our climatology says we don’t get snow. We never do wall to wall winter, so I’d rather it be bad in November and recover for our Christmas blizzard. . edited to note beaten to the punch.
  4. I worked in the yard for three hours today so I went straight to a Manhattan.
  5. Absolutely a loss for the community, but I have to think that Scott, the owner, will rebuild. I hope so anyway.
  6. Our local watering hole, Jillys, was just destroyed by fire. It was a two story business.
  7. I spent an hour cleaning pumpkin vines and dead tomato plants from the garden. 60 minutes of work for a 60 minute Dogfish Head.
  8. If my photos are too large to post and I can’t edit them easily, I email them to myself and then I’m given the choice of small, medium, etc. Medium works well for me. I’m jealous and looking forward to seeing the pics.
  9. Titans making it a game. Yeah, man. Nice spot.
  10. Long story but my brother went to Gettysburg college and he and his then roommate had a weird experience near Devils Den. Last night was the 40th anniversary so we had to give it a shot! My brother and his old roommate went last night too. Lots of fun, but no ghosts. Also, I can’t take credit for the photo. The old roommate took it.
  11. Gettysburg battle field last night at about 11PM.
  12. That looks really good. Black Flag brews great beers.
  13. Definitely chilly. We were in Gettysburg last night hiking the battlefields for ghosts and stopped now at your local watering hole, Brewery Fire.
  14. Cool! I just checked the 506 NFL maps and Baltimore and the eastern shore has the Denver game tomorrow. We got lucky because most of the area has the NE / SF game. https://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2020&wk=7
  15. Maple Lawn. I think the owners names were the Eiger’s. Some old folks called it The Eiger Farm. Way back in the 80’s, I lived in Burtonsville and there was an awesome Italian farmer that set up shop out of his pickup truck right next to the church across the street from the farm. My training training rides (I was racing bikes back then) would take me through that area several times a week, and I’d stop to chat with the old farmer and he’d stuff my jersey with peaches. He always called me Tony In his thick Italian accent and we’d play a game every time I stopped by where he acted like he was giving me the peaches for free, and I’d always leave a buck or two some place where he’d find it later. He was such a kind and interesting man. In 1994, I got married in that same church across the street, but like the turkeys, it didn’t last.
  16. I have, but it’s been a long time ago. I don’t remember the details, but the turkey was good. I had to be sure it was the same farm because the name has changed, and though I might be being duped because I just read it on their website, I want to say that their turkey was more moist and didn’t dry out. If I was to buy a fresh turkey again, that’s where I’d get it.
  17. A Dogfish Head Sun-Day-Feels Beermosa Sour to kick off happy hour this afternoon, and right into a Peabody Heights Oktoberfest Marzen to keep it going. I've been up and going at it since 3AM so the buzz is creeping up on me.
  18. I’m afraid that that will be a reoccurring theme for the next couple of months.
  19. The stretch from Thanksgiving to just before Christmas was pretty great. Clipper after clipper and snow cover just about the entire time.
  20. I remember that but don’t recall who it was. I also remember thinking that he was joking until he started arguing with people laughing at him. Dude, that sounds so good. We have to set up a meet sometime and exchange brews. By the way, my gf says thanks for the artwork compliment. Here are a few of our regulars we have on hand frequently.
  21. I’m the other way around this time of year. I’m ready for pre 7am sunrises. Most people don’t realize it, but in this area, our latest sunrises of the year happen during the week before the time change. Even the early January sunrises in winter are earlier than the last week of October. I like later sunsets too, but I get more done in the mornings than I do in the evenings.
  22. From what I’ve read, the color in central MD should be fantastic this year. We will know by next weekend as things really get going during this dry, cool stretch.
