No more drought here locally but I know that drought monitor takes into account many larger-scale factors such as reservoir and river levels, aquifers, water table, etc. I will say when I am south of the Whites and especially into the Lakes Region it seems drier to me. It has been that way since the mid-summer.

Happy Turkey Day everyone. The deluge for early next week has backed off a little on the models. I am not seeing the crazy firehose totals anymore at least. Looks promising after that for a return to upslope snows and occasional impulses swinging through NNE. Also a possible coastal being hinted at for late next week.

That still won’t help with the physical reality of beaming data from a satellite to a backyard. No way to shortcut that. Pings may go from well over 1,000ms to perhaps 500-700ms. Modern online games work best 100ms or less. So probably still no dice.

Seems like that horrendous soaker for early next week has fizzled a bit at least for up here. Glad to see it. Let’s get it out of the way because the models show a much better look here afterwards with at least the upslope pipeline turned back on.

While you guys are struggling with Spectrum performance, I am struggling to get them to come to my house and hook me up. Right now, I have two LTE modems and a Viasat link that I pass through a load-balancing router. Basically, I take three super-shitty connections and form them into one shitty connection. Spectrum has to be better than that mess.
