  1. This was our policy even when we skied up north. At least on normal days. Yeah, the -25 days will likely be different. May just boot the kids at home and toss them in the car and drive with the windows cracked.
  2. We were always the types who put on our boots at the car and went straight to the lifts anyway, so we aren't expecting a big change on that front. With kids, once you enter the lodge money starts getting spent. LOL
  3. 0.85" in Randolph so far. Stein is basically dead up there in terms of actual conditions on the ground. I'm sure from an academic perspective there is still technically a "drought" in place in terms of overall water deficits.
  4. Just watch out for Jawas. Little shits...
  5. From bone dry to floods in Randolph it looks like.
  6. There is a reason the the stats and announcers keep saying that when the Ravens fall behind they are toast... Lamar can't orchestrate a comeback with his arm. A real sensitive subject in Baltimore... sure, we will see.
  7. Sure, we'll see. But there is some precedence here with the running QBs over the years. Lamar is not the first QB with this "gimmick." He may be the most talented, but not the first. He needs to learn to win a game solely with his arm.
  8. Randolph CoCoRaHS at 4.02. Higher than I expected. I recorded 5.45" on my PWS during that period, but I suspect at least an inch of that was jacked up during the 9/30 event when it rained so hard my PWS went haywire.
  9. That's harsh. Will be lower 50s and rain in MD while I am here...
  10. I know many in Balmer react violently to this idea these days, but Lamar is not the long-term solution everyone hoped for. He has been figured out by the league, IMO. These scramble QBs always need to convert into pocket passers or they fade away. Mahomes and Wilson did it. Most do not.
  11. It figures you commies would want to turn American into Siberia.
  12. Defenses are setting the edges and he can't get outside. They are daring him to win with his arm, and he isn't much of a threat this year in that regard (a few heroic completions by Andrews aside). The Ravens are feasting on terrible teams, and they are lucky the AFC in general is pretty bad this year. Really the whole league looks pretty shaky. But the Ravens will struggle against any team that can score 20-30 every game. I see them as one and done in the playoffs unless they catch fire, which seems to happen with Lamar so who knows.
  13. Only if you provided a teaser snow on demand to prove you can do it!
  14. I can’t imagine a scenario where the UKMET would have any real skill whatsoever at that range.
  15. Another line rolled through after I went to bed and pushed me to 0.77”.
  16. There are many deals to be had with restaurants and hotels right now, but you are taking a big risk. There is a beautiful bed and breakfast up here in Randolph they are selling for $1.5M. That's a really risky business and it may take years for business to return to the "old normal" (if it ever does).
  17. Ended up with 0.49" inches here. Another decent soak. Parts of my property are getting very swampy again and the well is looking good.
  18. One lot is all meadow and the other is all wooded, apparently.
  19. If any of you guys are looking for property near Oakland, MD let me know. I have a line on someone looking to unload two lots, each about 3.5 acres for 15k each. That's a good price.
  20. Power had a few quick flickers but nothing major. This 100% would have knocked out power at my MD place for at least a little while. I was impressed the power hung in there. I have many huge dying ash trees hanging over the house. I'm sure they were strained to the limit, but luckily they are 100% leafless now so that helps. I didn't hear any crashes out there. Will need to check in the AM. I need to have some of those sick trees taken down... only a matter of time until they drop.
  21. That's a super accurate depiction. I figured my trusty forum buddies would have told me to flee if there was any real danger. Right guys...???
  22. I believe so. I’d have to look back. Definitely sounded the loudest since we have been here. The wife and kids panicked and ran into the basement. I finished my dinner upstairs. Haha
