  1. Excitement is like real estate here. All about location. Don't think media is going to hype it much unless Providence Boston and Hartford all get 6 inches plus.
  2. For coastal peeps, this snow potential was always predicated on colder than normal March temps. The real cold air keeps getting pushed back later into March, and sadly I don't have much faith in 30-35 degree for a high days ever materializing.
  3. Looks like the coldest air in a while coming around the 16th and 17th.
  4. Even though we won't get much accumulation here the weather is still more wintry than January and most of Feb. Too bad it's getting harder to get cold enough temps now. Got a costing of snow but it's 36 now basically sleet falling.
  5. The doomers have affected CNN it seems: "Boston and New York City are gearing up for their biggest snow of the season – and it’s not even that much" I agree Boston won't get as much but while 6-7 inches isn't historic, we have had many winters where such a storm was the biggest of the season.
  6. The winter storm warning drought continues here. But we are close to warning criteria.
  7. Depends on where you are. CT and parts of RI aren't far from 6 inches.
  8. Map has definite bust potential. I don't see anyone getting much more than 4-8, but I'd move the highest amounts closer to the coast.
  9. Coast scraper. But I'd still rather have a little bit of snow than a lot of rain again.
  10. I'll take my chances with a too far southern track here. Right now, I'm liking where this might end up.
  11. Start the march OBS thread. I'm done with February.
  12. WeatherWX keeps moving the goalposts for an actual snow event. Now it's March 4th. I'll panic when the goalposts are in May.
  13. Looks like mostly rain here next few weeks, but maybe one chance of a light to moderate snow event. Some colder days at least.
