So much fun to watch that OT goal... Caps are done.  They had that one great season where they won it all in 2018... but they go nowhere in the playoffs basically in other years.

And yes... I know the Penguins didn't even make the playoffs this year... and the Islanders swept the Penguins last postseason.  But at least we have 3 Cups with Crosby and the such

The caps have been consistently one of the best teams in hockey for years. Yes only one cup to show for it. But let’s face it, the caps and pens are like staring at a rebuild.

Definitely.    The ground is already very wet in parts of the area, there could be more storms later tonight, storm chances are good tomorrow and maybe Friday, and we then have to deal with the weekend.

Are we looking at a more widespread coverage in the next few days??

Not just the HRRR.  18z NAM nest has 14" near Winchester. Certainly one of the odd situations where the models like the 81 corridor better for storms.

I would think a watch is likely coming.

Latest NAM not as impressive as earlier today for overnight rain, FWIW. At least it finally looks to be picking up on Isaias and seems to have it on a reasonable track.

Don’t we always fail at game time ?

  5. West of 95 is dry!!!!! I haven’t seen it this dry and dusty in a while! Some of you are screaming yay I got 0.32 in my back yard.....big deal? The majority of the area is really dry. Over the next week or so doesn’t look to be much different. Boring, hot, dry weather continues.

Out here, just southwest of Purcellville, I am sitting at 1.58 inches of rain for the last 31 days! The storm two nights ago dumped almost an inch of rain less than 1 mile from my home! Yesterday, the storms literally split around me and I ended up with .04" . I submitted the information to the Climate office. Meanwhile, friends of mine in the eastern part of Loudoun saw 8+ inches of rain in June and over 3 inches the last week! I have brown grass and a dusty dry yard!

Agreed. The majority of the area west of 95 is bone dry.

I am practically around the corner from you, but just a mile or two made a difference for us. I’m straddling that green and yellow. I hope all of Eastern Hoco gets some reds today though. B)

While the exciting stuff has been East of 95, most areas west are bone dry. I’m talking grass full brown. With the exception of something tropical, majority of the area looks like a hot and dry summer.

  8. It’s frustrating we can’t manage a widespread event, I live between 95 and 81 and it’s been pretty dry, grass is brown. I don’t like a dry summer going into a La Niña fall and winter!!!
