Here's some banter.   Man am I glad I don't have to wake up next to a certain someone every morning in this thread

And also the Governor of NY will resign

    feeling's frigging mutual amigo

honestly, probably spend my 10 weeks of accrued vacation doing the same stuff I've been doing so all the radar network stakeholders don't get completely f*cked over.  Then we'll see.

hope everything works out for you

So far it has been decent. Expensive but the prices include tax and you don’t tip.  We just ate some fish sandwiches for a late lunch. Each one was around $23.  So that would be around an $18 sandwich at home?

Had some excellent pastries and coffee our first morning. Lunch was meh at a museum.  Dinner I had trout. Best trout I’ve had I think.

Yesterday and today we had breakfast at the hotel.  Decent continental style. We are lunch yesterday at a tomato greenhouse.  Excellent food.  I had tomato beer and tomato ice cream.

Nice. The tomatoes beer is nuts. I’ve had Einstok porter which is pretty good. If you see any fermented blubber beer or something be sure to give a review.

he kills mice though, although he doesn’t bite them, either. and he’d catch cicadas but not bite them (he didn’t like their sharp wings fluttering in his mouth so he gave up on them).

    poisons them? what a cat

Curious if you mean medical staff or other staff?  I know like Nursing Homes had a huge issue not with their medical staff but others who work there... admin, custodial, maintenance, etc.

mostly the admin staff is my understanding

Yeah that's been my experience, anyone I know associated at all to the medical field has gotten it, from first responders to nurses to hospital staff to primary care offices, family, family friend's in the field, etc.  There's no doubt you can find some or a couple if you look for them by I'd wager the vast, vast majority have gotten the vaccination working in those settings.

Is there a medical professional on this forum who hasn't?

my wife is a doctor and she and every doctor she/we know has gotten the vax...however, a not insignificant portion of the staff have not...i'm not sure what their plan is with that going forward...

Hundreds of thousands?   You have a link to this horseshit?  I know a lot of doctors and nurses across the country.  Near 100% vaccination rate among them.   I love you but stop selling.

    he lives it lol

our male cat caught a bird while he was on the deck (just casually reached up and grabbed a sparrow that had alit on the railing). he put it in his mouth and excitedly brought it inside to me, ugh. i got him to drop it and when i picked it up, it was unharmed. he never put his teeth in it.

it's kind of crazy that the prey drive stops short after catching the animal

Bummer. Mine just kill wildlife

I've got two dogs--the border collie/lab mix and then some yellow dog...the yellow one came to the back door the other night with a baby rabbit hanging out of its mouth...i was sure the rabbit was dead so i put on some gloves and got a plastic bag and went out onto the deck to dispose of it...yellow dog looked so proud and when i told him to drop it he did and just sat there wagging his tail...i picked up the rabbit and it didn't move and its eyes were closed but it was still breathing...i held it for a bit more and then it kicked its back legs a little so i went and put it under our woodpile to see if it may be OK...checked it about 10 minutes later and it had buried itself into some dead leaves and it was gone the next morning so i guess it was just tharn or whatever...can't believe yellow dog didn't injure it too much...we have a guinea pig that he likes to play with so maybe that had something to do with it?

    edit: that's them below

    Dog days indeed!

Mornings here the fields are wet like it rained slightly.  Take the pup out for a run (Border Collies have infinite AM energy like forget solar and wind just get a platoon of 'em running on a treadmill!), chasing his nerf frisbee.  A few tumbles here and there, he's ready to come in.  And (of course) he tears through the house chasing cats like a real life Tom and Jerry cartoon.  Heads right for the bed, jumps up and tumble rolls all over the comforter.  Now it REALLY smells like DOG DAYS!

    Rinse, wash repeat.  (literally)

I've got a border collie/black lab mix...the lab mellows out the border collie energy a bit but he was still a pain in the ass as a pup

I remember as a kid in Baltimore we could only go to Pizza Hut twice a year . It was gourmet . I remember my parents paying $ 25 for a pizza and $40 to dine in . $40 in the mid 80s was big coin for low income dopes like us . I guess there was the "cool" fireplace lol

$25 for a pizza at a Baltimore Pizza Hut in the 80s? I’ve got news for you man they were buying drugs.
