Gets kind of annoying when some people pop in the LR thread and post something they think is interesting and new when its already been discussed in detail. Doesn't anyone read the thread a little first to avoid making a repetitive post? I mean if there is something new to add then have at it. Between that and the constant fucking snowfall map posts... I'm thinking about making a new thread lol.

There's no way everyone's following the 150k rule

On a more serious meteorological note, when should I drink this “Snowy Night” stout? Tonight, seeing as the snow starts overnight? Or do I have it early in the day tomorrow in the hopes of delaying the flip and having a snowy night on Sunday? Remember, the fate of the storm hinges on this decision.

Tomorrow!! I have a stout ready to go also that I picked up Thursday night:

Call me crazy but I’ll go with 10” for my backyard plus maybe an inch of sleet on top. Don’t think we get any significant freezing rain. We’ve had some solid performances with SW flow events recently, if the initial thump last 6-8 hours I think 10” is attainable

    My cover might be blown.

Wife: what time are we leaving Sunday, when does the snow start?

Me: oh I'm not sure when it starts, I assume we'll just leave mid morning on Sunday (hee hee)

Wife: you've been monitoring this storm nonstop all week, don't tell me you don't know when it's gonna start snowing

Me: Ehhhh, uhhhh, depends on the warm nose and 850 temps and other stuff we won't know for sure til Sunday morning.  Virga!

    Wife:....

Thought your last word was viagra on first read. Sort of made sense in context.

Sorry for the non weather question.  I’m old and a widow so preparing.  Adam Joseph said don’t shovel the snow before it flips cause you’ll never get the frozen stuff off a bare walk.  Is he correct?

Just had a pretty good wind gust.  Cold front incoming. Wind chimes going nuts just now.

It makes sense. If you shovel the snow  and the pavement is bare when it starts to sleet/freezing rain you'll need a jackhammer to get it clear. I'm thinking it will be easier to remove with at least a few inches of snow beneath and just a crust of ice on top. Not going to be fun in any event.
