And, for the first time in my 50+ years on this earth, I put in sod recently as part of a landscape project to shore up a hillside. So....I was really rooting for rain. An extra few hours would have been nice.
The stuff from 3:30 to around 5:30 couldn't get going here. would spit then stop, drizzle then stop. Then, just after 5:30, a proper hard rain set in until about 6.
I am definitely gonna stay up and see if we get lucky. clear skies plus new moon lining up with a potential unusual meteor event is already unusual. Yaneverknow...
Supposed to be a 1/2 hour window. 12:45 am for us. Just checked out the sky from our deck up this way and if we are clear have a shot at seeing this. Much less light wash up here.
