  1. In 94, the Harrisburg area had several good snowstorms and several storms that changed from snow to ice. It was fantastic for snowpack retention. The frigid temperatures that January are legendary. I think MDT reached 23 below zero. The seasonal snow total was around 75 inches, which has to rank in the top 10 at MDT.
  2. My Winter dream is to have a similar season someday that could rival ‘94 !
  3. Random question for everyone this evening. Somehow this evening the topic of below zero temperatures was brought up when talking with my kids. I was trying to remember the last time that the official air temperature at MDT went below zero? My first guess is February 2014. That month was one of the coldest Winter months in MDT history if my memory is correct, so we must have had a few nights below zero. Please let me know if anyone knows or can find the stats?
  4. The 18z GFS brings around .4 to .5 of precip to the LSV by Monday.
  5. That’s ok with me if that is all that we get. When I mowed my lawn earlier today, the ground was still saturated in a few spots in the yard. I wouldn’t mind letting it dry out this week if possible.
  6. Lol…What kind of Winter forecast is this? where is their snow map for the season?
  7. He is smart and is very knowledgeable. I was just amused with his warning others of being too early with canceling the storm, when that is his specialty.
  8. He famously canceled the January 2016 blizzard on here 3 days before the storm because of 1 off run of the Euro that showed “only” a foot of snow instead of 2 feet!
  9. @paweather In the Winter, a Henri like storm that bullseyes Eastern PA, NYC and SNE would be devastating. I am good with it happening now!
  10. I almost spit out my morning coffee when I just read in the Tropical Storm Henri New England thread this post from our old friend Eskimo Joe. “Yup. Lots of early "storm cancel" posts here in this thread.” He is the king of early storm cancel every year….unbelievable!
  11. @Voyager most of us don’t need more heavy rain at this time after the storms from a few days ago. @Bubbler86 might disagree, but otherwise I am good with missing more heavy rain this time!
  12. You don’t see a Hurricane Warning for Long Island too often. This will be interesting to track!
  13. Reading through the last few pages makes me wonder where @Atomixwx has been lately! There is a ton of new material for him to respond to the next time he logs on here!
  14. The radar is something that we do see around here too often.
  15. I agree…it was the most heavy rain that I had to drive through in years!
  16. There was Super heavy rain with high wind that was creating sheets of water rolling down the streets!
  17. Lol…another heavy shower is moving through here now around 12:30 am. It doesn’t look like it should last too long according to the radar.
  18. A moderate rain shower just moved through here in Marysville that lasted for about 20 minutes.
  19. I would welcome him on here as another huge Eagles fan! Lol… Also, I suppose that it would be extremely cool to have a future Hall of Fame player posting on here!
  20. Don’t worry, you and Cashtown will jackpot in the Winter and hopefully revive your grass in time for next Spring.
  21. Good morning! CTP posted this morning about the rain that is on the way during the next couple of days. “More rain is expected today. Remnants of TS Fred will move over the region during the day on Wednesday. Between 2 & 3" of rain are possible through 8PM Thurs, with higher amounts possible depending on Fred's exact track. Take note if you live in a flood-prone area!”
  22. Same here…I have had fun sticking around here this Spring and Summer.
