  1. Thanks, do you also think the winds will be relatively calm until the next front approaches?
  2. Do you guys think there will be a few hours this morning & early afternoon of sun and light winds before the next front approaches later on?
  3. The Cashtown bullseye is there this run, so maybe there is a chance?
  4. The weather today looks crazy…. But… I’m still tracking snow… The 0z Euro delivered again for Easter Monday. Lol, only 9 days away….….. or more likely 9 months away.
  5. Lol…the Happy Hour GFS has a similar progression as the Euro from today and delivers Easter Eve snow to us in our baskets!
  6. Lol…where is @paweather … He loves Holiday snow of any kind! Bring it…Easter snow…why not?
  7. The mountains of California have had 13 major storms this season that delivered their historic snow. Maybe some year will be our turn? I would love if MDT could see a 100 inch snow season some year. I think the record best season is near 80 inches. Lol, we would just need about 7 major coastal snowstorms that deliver around 15 inches of snow per storm. We would need the Gulf to VA coastal track to lock in for the whole Winter. Lol, never say never!
  8. MDT has had 6 of the last 10 Winters with Above normal snow. 2010 was the last well above snow Winter with over 50 inches at MDT. This was thanks to 3 major storms, but there was next to nothing in between the December storm & then the 2 major snowstorms in early February. After that, the late February snowicane that hit NJ & NY only gave minor amounts to the LSV-we were just a bit too far west. March 2010 was snowless. In my opinion, 2013-14 with the 44 inch total at MDT was a worse Winter in terms of cold & snow, with several events from December through February. It could have been even better if the 3 events in March that hit Maryland could have tracked slightly further north.
  9. Mrs. Blizz is not amused while she is trying to sleep…she is certainly not coming out on the balcony with me!
  10. I’m back out on the balcony…heavy snow continues at 11:30. Approaching 1 inch on the grass/mulch areas. Road & sidewalks have not caved.
  11. The third floor balcony is giving me the full experience. The heavy wind is pushing the snow flakes right to my balcony. I have an excellent view with a couple of well positioned lights. Temps are dropping..I just went back in the room to put on my fleece & a hat! Deep Winter conditions…for about 1 hour!
  12. I am currently in the Poconos thanks to a work conference that Mrs. Blizz is attending. I am out on the balcony at 11 pm watching it absolutely rip heavy snow!!! I finally am experiencing some Winter….and I am enjoying every second of it!!!
  13. Only got to 42 here in Marysville. A few clouds must have “Ruined” my overnight low…
  14. I’m trying to rationalize our snow failure this season. The western part of the country has had record snow in many locations. The pattern locked in & refused to break down for most of the season. What if next year or some upcoming year, this type of repeating pattern locked in for the eastern part of the country? Imagine how much fun that all of the regional forums would have if there was record breaking snow from VA to Maine? How awesome would it be to have a repetitive storm track from the Gulf of Mexico to off of the coast of VA?!
  15. I remember trying to will those waves of precip to the north, but the pattern would just not allow it.
  16. It also counts towards snow totals if it accumulates…
  17. 2 seasons in a row that my snowblower collected dust! Hopefully next season it gets a workout!
  18. Exactly… MDT had around 16 inches last year. It certainly wasn’t a good year last season, but I needed the shovel a few times. 2021, we had lots of shoveling opportunities with MDT getting 36 inches of snow. This year, sadly no shovel was needed for me!
  19. At least this March has had 3 near misses for snow chances for southern PA. Decent snow will again be around 100 miles away from the Harrisburg area this month. Lol, it still means no snow for me, but at least it’s only about a 2 hour drive away.
  20. Exactly…good luck to the northern tier. This is a back yard sport for many of us…
  21. The 0z GFS & Canadian both are still trying to get some snow to parts of CTP by early Wednesday.
