  1. What were the temperatures like 500 or 1000 years ago in these locations?
  2. We have had terrible snow Winters during every decade on record in Harrisburg over the past 100 years or so. We also have great snow & cold years mixed in most decades as well. My point is, who knows how much snow or how warm or cold it was thousands or millions of years ago in this region? Also, last year, while we were warm with very little snow, the western USA had record setting snow & cold in many locations.
  3. Is it embarrassing because my question makes too much sense? Please…lol….
  4. What were temps like every decade for the past 4.5 billion years in PA or anywhere on the planet for that matter? No one can seem to answer that….
  5. The earth is around 4.5 billion years old, yet some are worried about warming temperatures over the last 50 years… In the words of the great Pittsburgh poster…”LOL” !
  6. After reading all of this great discussion today, I realized that I’m still waiting on the Climate Change poster to provide stats on PA temps from 1350 AD & 350 BC just so we can compare… My guess is that he can’t find these numbers? Was it a warm or cold period? What were the ocean temperatures? i suppose that I should just accept that history just started 100 years ago or when the satellite era began!
  7. I agree! Very few sustained heat waves & lots of breaks in the humidity this Summer. Beyond the 1 week of heat earlier this month, September has been very pleasant as well. The rest of this week looks to be below normal to normal in the temperature department.
  8. Thanks for posting this! I love your contributions to this board. It’s a shame that the guy from Pittsburgh says “lol” after each one of your posts. The next time that he makes a quality post, it will be a first for him! Please keep posting here & don’t let one guy bother you!
  9. Hmmmm….could it have been the weather pattern at the time or maybe part of the cyclical nature of the weather?
  10. Lol!!! Thanks for Dubois stats! Last time I checked, the month does not end until the 30th…. I am still waiting on the temperature numbers from 1350 AD & 335 BC just so we can compare to the current century.
  11. Welcome to the board! Our group is a lot of fun…except for when a snow chance does not go our way, lol!
  12. 1.46 with light snow ….I mean rain….continuing in Marysville. I might be able to reach a foot & a half with ratios…
  13. .74 so far in Marysville. Radar is filling in nicely to the southwest. I might have a shot at a foot … I mean an inch of precip today.
