  1. Ensemble maps are only ever 10-1 ratio. Friday’s event should have very good ratios with the Arctic air in place.
  2. Friday is a different set up than today. Also, most totals that I read for today’s event showed 4 inches or so in MD/DC, which was similar to what most had in our region today. One more thing, Go Canada!
  3. I agree. The Canadian has the heaviest totals north of the MD line through most of our region. A compromise would put southern PA in the sweet spot. This event should have good raitios as well.
  4. 18z Euro slightly drier than its 12z run. Still widespread 2 inches in southern PA this run.
  5. MDT recorded 3.1 of snow for the event. 2.3 today & .8 yesterday. Nice solid widespread Advisory level event.
  6. The 18z GFS wasn’t far off on showing something a little more, but it still gets another Advisory level event to CTP this run.
  7. 18z RGEM would make the vast majority of us happy on Friday. The Canadian & RGEM have been consistent with a CTP bullseye for the last few runs.
  8. Terrible time for radar to be out. Anyone have any other radar source to post or share link?
  9. Snow is the “heaviest” of the event in Marysville now with moderate rate & best flake size for the event.
  10. Do you have a good link for the current low position map? Also, could you or someone post the map where the coastal low is sitting at this time?
  11. 3.1 in Marysville currently with light snow continuing now.
  12. Latest HRRR shows some filling in with the light snow through late morning even in southern PA. Here is the 3 hourly progression & snow still to go on the HRRR.
  13. Light snow continues now in Marysville & across even southern PA as of the 6 am official observations. The radar is not picking up the steady light snow. Flake size is small, but very steady here.
  14. Steady light to moderate snow in Marysville with a little over 1 inch of powder on the ground.
  15. The 0z Canadian has a Warning event for us on Friday.
  16. I know a few of us recently discussed splitting counties for Advisories & Warnings, tonight, in looking at the CTP map, “southern Dauphin” should be Warned, but they can’t split the county.

  18. Super sad! Tremendous collapse….unbelievable. It’s hockey & basketball season now! Pitchers & catchers report next month!
  19. Warning snow for LSV on 0z GFS for tonight into tomorrow.
  20. 0z RGEM brings Warning snow to most of the LSV by tomorrow.
  21. Hope he’s ok, I haven’t seen him post in weeks.
  22. Light snow in Marysville with most surfaces covered.
  23. Best Euro run for the LSV for this event since the fantasy range runs several days ago… Good to see at game time.
