    We had breezy conditions all day yesterday…nasty day to say the least…but nothing damaging. We had a lot of rain..around 3 total”. Rained nonstop all day yesterday. Definitely was in the goods. When the snow version comes….I’ll be in the dry slot for sure.

    The wind was lame here with this one…breezy but no wind of consequence. But it would have been blowing the snow around some(would have been nice appeal), but no 6ft drifts imo if this was a winter storm…but I figured 12-18” for sure..but I like your 12-20 even better Steve lol. And with the light rain still happening…the 20” idea would probably be correct.

    We got boned here in Jan 22…lousy storm in that one here. This was much more precip than that Jan ‘22 for my area. But I understand what you mean for a lot of places.

    1.5” here so far…a good drink for sure. It would have been a good winter storm-nothing top tier, but solid for sure.

    Well, you will hear from NWS when it’s something significant…this isn’t a big deal though. And Gotta know how to wade through the nonsense, and gleam the real truth here, you know that. You know the posts that are legit, and the ones that aren’t.

    Ya, it’s fun I agree. But I wouldn’t read it for a mundane deal like this, but that’s just me. Now if we were on tap for 6-12, or 12-18, with wind…,we’d all be reading, and they, the the NWS, world have the AFD out when it needed to be. Don’t you worry…it’ll be there when it’s something of genuine consequence. But I get the joy of reading it when it’s something siggy.

    But this is why you come here…there are plenty of pros here…and great discussion. If this was mid December onwards, with cold in place…the AFD’s would be out there as you stated. This will not affect any travel on land here in SNE, so that’s why there isn’t a whole lot more on it. It’s not that big of a deal period.

    That’s the outcome that is always more favored with all events and systems…so you lean that way until otherwise shown something different with some semblance of confidence. Right now there is very little confidence in something bigger, except in some rainy and maybe breezy weather.

    But that’s just it the last 2-3 years…every single storm of consequence is always all over the place run to run at 2 days out. As we close in it seems the modeling diverges more than ever. 0z will go back the other way, and 6z will go back the opposite again. Seems worse than ever.

    I don’t think so…yes the other models got better, but the euro jumps all over now…and close in. Didn’t really do that before(very rarely)..that’s the difference.
