  1. Lol Luke needs some edibles, guy is shook. He needs to move back to Jersey where winters really suck. Sure, if pattern is good it can really snow in December, but there’s a reason why March averages more snow than December. And I don’t trust these ensembles much lately either, they’ve been pretty bad in the long range. A couple weeks back they showed warmth the last week of November/first week of December. That didn’t play out to well. I wouldn’t get to invested in any one run of the ensembles..they change each run.
  2. But I believe he has a PHD in some area of Atmospheric Science.
  3. A little bit of chop busting is fine and fun. But when a full blown troll continuously posts antagonistic messages…it’s nothing but useless, and highly detracts from the forum. We all know when a model run looks putrid and there’s no problem saying so etc etc….but when somebody uses that to antagonize the majority of posters/people here constantly, it just degrades the forum. Sure we can ignore him, but if that’s how a person feels, then they should be in the southeast forum or the southwest forum where they can talk about the type of weather they are looking for. It’s as simple as that. He’s here to bust chops…nothing more.
  4. Yup…winter is quickly passing us by on 11/30. By 12/10 it’ll be completely over.
  5. It may never snow again…oh well there’s always 22-23 right? I mean if it doesn’t snow by 12/8, Spring is just about here by then anyway, so that’s the last shot. This place is a dam dumpster fire today! .
  6. Always 8-9 days out …hope that doesn’t become a theme? I know it’s only 11/30, and we have yet to get rolling, but that’s always a worry in any winter.
  7. Modeling has been abysmal the last couple seasons(last year and this early season so far), everything changes at H5 each run, and not just little things, but whole scale changes it seems on each run. Modeling Too sensitive now or what? It jumps all over the place like a hyper chiwawa.
  8. Ya me too…I was like oh wow we got something brewing. But nothing but banter here this morning.
  9. This. Its all cyclical. The clippers will be back at some point.
  10. Getting real cold up there now..by the weekend highs in the mid teens and lows down near zero…here we go.
  11. Ahh ok, I see. Wow, I Thought that hit your area well too. Ya we got about 10” from that thing. Was certainly one to remember.
  12. What about the Norlun of Jan 2011…that was fabulous.
  13. You’ve been quite the pessimist the last year. You and T-Flizz hanging out?
  14. They might have had a lil more than that. I know it skipped to the east with the real huge amounts, but I had 13-14” here, which compared to eastern CT paled in comparison obviously. But in ‘13 Hamden jackpotted and was totally buried with the big 40” total from the February 2013 Blizzard.
  15. Ya, that was the same system for sure Dave. But I remember the ones Will mentioned…especially the twin Feb 94 systems. 93-94 was a record breaking and special winter though, so it fit the narrative that season for sure. They do happen, so ya can’t say they never happen, but as Ray said it’s rare. And you can certainly hedge your bets against anything like that happening most of the time. But one of these times it will happen again.
  16. Lol yup. And that Jan 15 first one was supposed to be it, cuz the models completely lost the big one a couple days before, and we figured it was gonzo. Until the night of it snowing(Friday late night) the Euro brought it back at 0z.
  17. Going away again? You were gone for the get together last week too.
  18. Yup, we gotta be patient this time, and see what things look like in a couple more days?
  19. Looks active…there will be some chances. That’s the positive take away at the moment.
