I know you’re referring to SSWE, but even in regards to general weather, even for you that’s still 5 weeks away. That’s almost half a season of time. Lots can happen in 5 weeks. Not saying it does this year…but 5 weeks is 5 weeks.

Yes sir. It’s a long shot for sure. But as Will said yesterday, it has some bigger long wave support going for it, so there is at least that. But ya, I’m not feeling good about anything this winter has offered, or has yet to offer. It’s been a tough go here.

Believe me, I hear and feel the frustration as well. But unfortunately it’s not March 21st yet, and we have 2 full weeks before it’s even February 21st, so I guess my point was, ya check in a couple times a day, and see the trends. I agree, not feeling hopeful, but it’s not dead at all, and there will be more shots at storms. But ya, it’s been a stinker here so far.

Who gives a f*ck, snow is snow. I don’t care if it lasts a day or ten. Bring it. And I go by Astronomical Winter, so there’s 6 weeks left to that. Some of the biggest storms come in March. And it’s Feb 8th today, so why wouldn’t we be talking about winter.

Oh For sure. But this is the Feb thread, so like I said, I hope he keeps posting what it shows. I’m certainly not banking on anything, but it’s 2/8, and she doesn’t look like she’s gonna release us to spring all too early, so might as well see if anything happens.

I guess some are fatigued. I can understand. It’s been a lousy run for some of us. But there’s no getting out on 2/8 when you live in Southern New England. So it’s gonna be a long few months. Cuz after the next 6 weeks passes, and the snow chances are gone at the end of March, we have another 6 weeks of damp raw misery mist for the most part. So while it’s still very much winter, and the height of it at that, doesn’t hurt to check in once in a while, and see if anything interesting is brewing. I wouldn’t be wasting much time in here, but a check doesn’t hurt.

Keep posting what the modeling shows Ant. If we side on the negative side, more often than not we’ll be right. But that only works until it doesn’t. So hey, post away cuz isn’t this what this thread is meant for?

EPS has been atrocious this winter. Gonna get schooled again as we see it caving each run to the GEFS. What a dam shame that model has gone down hill so badly.

Lol…the last two times we’ve had pretty much no winter weather when they’ve issued it. Let’s see if this time(tomorrow) is the same, and we go for 3 times with no winter weather.

Ahh the year of the winter weather advisories….and absolutely no winter weather/or incredibly lil winter weather happens when they issue these this season. Thursday 1/21, Friday 2/4 there was really no winter weather at all, and now probably tomorrow into Tuesday 2/7 into 2/8. It would be nice to actually get some legit winter weather with these Winter Weather Advisories lol.

Ya it’s been great in Ginxy’s area, glad for those guys. But it’s been lousy for most of us in central and western areas for sure. Oh well, we can’t control the weather. And yes it’s always about perspective. And from ours out this way, it’s been lousy. Would so love to grab a decent event before we send the winter packing however. Hopefully we can.
