We have a 2hr delay…it’s a beautiful thing. When it really snows or ice..no school. So the best of all worlds with regards to any type of adverse weather. But I too feel for the commuters …that’s no fun at all. So I can understand their plight.

Imo rain to snow is always better. Unless it changes over 10 minutes before it ends obviously.

Poor guy is broken…ya hate to see it. He needs to get away.

Lol..yesterday the sentiment was that it’s gonna trend north, north for CNE, and leave SNE mostly out. Comical how the modeling many times goes in the opposite direction of the current thinking. All of a sudden it’s now south. This is Still morphing, nothing figured out yet. Changes to come still.

Oh they’ve come back , and have been here for the 3rd season now. However, the big dog did happen even in the 80’s, ya just never know when it walks in. Obviously this threat isn’t it, but we have a good chunk of winter left to go, how it plays out is still an unknown. But for now we nickle and dime.

Hey that’s fine, and I get that completely. But being away doing something wintry that I love, and not being on here, was a well needed break. Limiting time here, can do wonders as I said. Too much of this is no good.

Good post. I was thinking this too. It’s all you hear now. It’s just the latest attribute now. There’s never any one smoking gun, I think we’ve all learned this over the years. But some folks(and not just in here) like to hang their hat on something, so lately it’s been all about that. We were due for some bad fortune, it’s been here starting in 21-22, so we just grin and endure. Being away from the board and enjoying winter for 4-5 days was great. A break from this stuff does wonders. Got to limit time here, when things aren’t looking so good. And check back when something of interest pops up. Back on Saturday the 13th, I had 62 degrees here, so if we hit 60, or close to it again Friday, so be it and just enjoy it.

What double digit blizzards? There was one blizzard that I remember in 15-16…And it fringed the area, and buried the mid Atlantic in January. I got about 10 inches from it, and south and west in CT got lots more, and NYC got like 30”. Once you got north of here, it went down exponentially. I don’t remember any other blizzard in ‘16?

Well some of the worst winters have one brutal snap contained. 2016 sucked/warm too..but mid Feb had a record breaking cold shot. Last year too..sucked but we had one impressive cold snap too in Feb last year. So ya never know?

Lol…I knew something must have been wrong, that place gets buried. Deep snow out there. Some serious wilderness, with some brutal cold. Heading up for this weekend.

My total last year was a tad over 12” too, and the 1.5” today brings me to 9” total so far on 1/16. 3 inches to tie, 4 inches for the win. I’m gonna go out on a limb (lol) and say it’s a done deal we beat last year.
