  1. So if it will still do all these things…then who f’n cares if the temp has increased, or not? It’s been frigid for two months. Looks to stay that way for the foreseeable future. CC is not the issue why you haven’t had a good snowstorm. But I’ve had a good snowstorm already. The CT shore has had a couple. So has Cape Cod. Virginia has too..a few of them. Delaware, NC, Maryland, Chicago, NNE. All killing it. It’s just random crazy ju ju, or whatever you want to call it. And that’s that currently.
  2. They always insist…it isn’t snowing due to CC. When that’s so not it. Cuz it’s snowing everywhere else lol. But ya…silly debate when we’re freezing.
  3. You’ve been saying this for 2-3 weeks…the cold keeps coming. The cold isn’t the problem this year.
  4. If you want to drink the cool Aide, go ahead. It’s a bunch of crap. And that’s that. It isn’t gonna make any difference in your life or mine..at all. It’s still gonna snow. It’s still gonna get cold. And it’s still gonna rain in the winter sometimes in SNE. Moving on….
  5. C’mon..enough now. What’s f’n worse? Really? You just went through the snowiest period in SNE history(granted our records only back 150 years or so). But what is worse? A 4 year bad period? Again, that always happens. And lots of other places in this country have had record breaking winters, while we’ve missed out. And they missed out when we were reaping the rewards. NNE off to the best start…in history possibly. That doesn’t sound like any warming is giving them a problem. And warmth last year, and now this year isn’t a problem. So let’s just get back to our January weather now.
  6. Well we had just come off the ice age idea of the70’s…so that’s all you need to know.
  7. At some point you need to understand, this is how it goes here. You don’t live in Labrador, or British Columbia, or the inter mountain west. This is how SNE works.
  8. Yes. And that’s how it kind of goes…some aren’t old enough to understand this very simple concept.
  9. Not likely…last year wasn’t as bad(nothing great obviously) as the year before that. This year better already than last…
  10. Not the new normal, only the current situation. Which will eventually shift, and change.
  11. What was the one that gave central CT 12-16” on Feb 13, 2024. Was that near the benchmark?
  12. If this follows the tenor of this season…it’ll probably juice up some. 1-3” would be a nice refresher.
  13. That ain’t science Paul…it’s seeing that what you’re saying isn’t applying to any other region at this time. And What I have that you don’t is life experience…your a kid that hasn’t lived through what I have. I’ve seen this shit before first hand…you have not. So perhaps, you are the one that doesn’t understand.
  14. And where we are at the moment too. Because the bombs Paul…they aren’t being affected by this idea in other parts of this country currently. Just like they weren’t being affected here during the 2000’s and 2010’s. But other parts of the country at that time were struggling, but we weren’t. So that tells me, that again, it’s a cycle. And we will come out of it, like we did after the last dearth where nothing(very little) worked out here(the 80’s).
  15. Ok bud…I see your point. It’s all good. I guess I was trying to lift your spirits some with that reasoning. You know your stuff…hoping we can all have some fun as we are just starting to walk in the door of our climatological wheelhouse.
  16. Ok, I’m not saying your seasonal total ideas aren’t going to be wrong…but the weather obviously doesn’t care about totals and stats…so I guess my point is at some point things will snap the other way. When that is, is anybody’s guess? But If D. Sutherland is on to something, that would certainly help some. I just don’t see the angst on 12/30. But I also just picked up close to 9” too…so sometimes that helps the outlook too. I guess if you want to be upset, then go right ahead. I feel January will have some fun in store for us.
  17. Everything in meteorology is negotiable…because it’s the future, and because it’s not an exact science.
