Really? So everybody around you in every direction gets snow, but SNE doesn’t, and that’s the new norm? Laughable. Fast flow or not, everybody/every area seems to benefit from it…but SNE? That’s just Bad frieken luck. Richmond VA will probably have a seasons worth of snow by mid week. Fast flow doesn’t seem to be hurting them? Mid west is buried. Plains buried. This was the 80’s. They sucked for winter, and They’re back. 2-4” in the 80’s was a good storm. 3-6” was very significant. And 4-8”’was a HECS. Well 40 plus years later we’ve come full circle. Embrace the suck. At some point it will change…and swing back. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Perfect post. December…for the most part sucks for snow in SNE. Sure, we’ve had some good ones. But way more bad ones. That’s just how it goes in SNE. The cold is in place…we may hit on something yet. But it’s nothing unprecedented if we don’t. Ya, we’ll waste a good cold pattern…but that’s happened about a thousand times before also. As Powderfriek said…it ebbs and flows. SNE was killing it for a good long while, it’s a bitch when you go back to the shit barrel. But we knew it was coming. Now we need a good double or triple to break us out of the slump, we’ll get it.

Upper Midwest and plains killing it. Lakes killing it, cold all around. When it’s snowing literally all around us, it’s just bad dam luck/ju-ju/carma- whatever term you want to use. And that’s that. As Ray said…sometimes these take some time…climo getting better everyday for us, but maybe we just get f’n Skunked. It happens unfortunately. It’s happening right now. Not a dam thing anybody can do. I didn’t say that…I said it’s better that the signal is there and growing, than have some bomb that will come and go at this lead. Just like 18z GFS yesterday…it was gone next run.
