  1. I live on Harvard St in Adams Morgan and as of a couple hours ago it hadnt been touched probably since early morning. There was a solid 4 inches of snow/sleet/zr glaze on the road
  2. Always nice to have another big threat to track immediately after a major storm, and not at like day 12 either. This storm was great, had some awesome rates overnight with a couple hours of elite snow growth, historic sleet bomb, true arctic cold. Rare to see around these parts.
  3. Looks like we have about 8-9" of snow/sleet on the ground. Really something. Seems like we got about 3-4" of sleet, which is absolutely unbelievable.
  4. Just popped outside, looks about like 75/25 ZR/IP mix. Everything is glazed over.
  5. Must be nice to be a Bostonite. Your team back to the Super Bowl and 20 inches of snow. Wonder what that's like.
  6. Seems a good amount of ZR starting to mix in here.
  7. Pouring sleet again. I really don't think we have more than a couple hours of precip left, I expect us to be mostly done by 8pm. Hopefully we just can completely avoid ZR
  8. Temp up to 25. I'm really scared of ZR at this point, seems inevitable.
  9. There's definitely some freezing drizzle mixed in now, Pack is starting to glaze up a bit
  10. Just got back from a jebwalk, easily the heaviest sleet I've ever experienced. Pounding. Huge pellets too. Roads are a complete disaster here, passed many stuck cars.
  11. Lol getting 18" here is like binking a 1 outer.
  12. Looking at radar it wouldn't shock me. This system is absolutely juiced. Those storms down in AL/GA are serious, flow off the Gulf is still ripping.
  13. "Moderate to occasionally heavy sleet continues across the area as we trudge through midafternoon. Many places have picked up 1 to 3 inches of sleet since the changeover this morning. That much sleet could have been about 3 to 9 inches of snow." Don't worry CWG did for you already
  14. Damn you've been sleeting for like 12 hours straight.
  15. Glad I live in apartment and I dont have to deal with shoveling. That said my car is gonna be inaccessible for a while...
  16. Yeah you missed the good dumping we had overnight up around here, but it wasn't too starkly different. I remember the last time I was at UVA I was visiting my buddy and there was also a massive snow/sleet storm. Cville is good at sleet.
  17. Charlottesville is one of the prettiest places in the snow.
  18. I just woke up, looks like we got maybe an inch of sleet since I went to sleep when we changed over. Jesus I cannot do these all nighters any more (until the next one)
  19. Pingers and lighter rates now. Going to crash.
  20. Snow quality has really declined here, tho it's still ripping. Lots of rimed flakes, some dendrites mixed in too though.
