Damn! I just opened the mail! Second time in 6 months someone filed a fraudulent pandemic unemployment claim on me. I had one back in September.

Oh, I agree. I also think the scare tactic headlines are doing more harm than good.
You got that right.
She’s supposed to be a physician scientist leading the CDC and we got that emotional mess today?

I think people are kind of forgetting the intent of the vaccine. It’s to reduce severe cases and hospitalizations.
A friend of mines father was stunned when he tested positive between shots. It can happen, and it shouldn’t be a huge surprise
Yes and no. It’s 90% plus effective at stopping infection. That’s the intent. It also lessens the severity if you’re in the 10% that get an infection. You’ll still see older people in LTC facilities get it even though they’re vaccinated because their immune system is bad.
I did see that lady ER doc from Brown say that she has yet to admit a patient or see an ER case of anyone that has been vaccinated.

Second shot of Pfizer last Friday. No significant effects. Just felt like I got punched in the arm.
That's what my first Moderna felt like.

I'm seeing Forsythia and Magnolia about to pop. I can't recall it this early other than 2012. All my plants are coming up. Done with winter around here. We grow.
My neighbors Forsythia is about ready, my Day Lillies and Catsmint are greening nicely. Canadian Maple in the front yard is opening up, and my Magnolia isn't too far behind.

You should move to Juneau. Or if you didn’t want to go that far coastal Oregon would do the trick.
If I had to live in the Pacific Northwest, I’d suck on a tailpipe.

Everyone should know that April is generally a dumpster fire in New England. I always look at Mother’s Day for sustained decent spring weather.
If I could, mid March to mid May is when I’d head south out of here and come back around the 20th. That 60 days is generally terrible for snow weenies in SNE and just as bad for the warministas. I have zero use for 40-50 with a cold rain.- 1

Got Moderna #1 at 4:30. So far all is well.
Just a little arm soreness this morning when I woke up. Already pretty much gone. Didn't even take any pain reliever.
Next shot at 4:30, April 20th, Natick Mall. I had a text on my phone with the link to sign up for the second appt by the time I walked over to the 15 minute waiting area. I think the state finally has the website kinks worked out.
I heard a lady say that they were doing 2000 per day at that site.

I had a stump grinded last fall, was thinking of putting sod over the area, last time I did in another area it came in nice.
My tree was in a large mulch bed out front. Has a large gold hinoki Cyprus and some boxwoods too. I may put in a dogwood. Something that will bloom for awhile. The plum only bloomed for about a week. I have some CAST outdoor lighting with 2 bullets that uplit the tree, so I want to replace it. That plum has been in 12 years, the black knot ate it up.

I put in some new KBG sod last September. Did real well. It’s actually still decently green.
I had to cut down my 20 foot ornamental plum tree in my front yard back in late January. It was covered in black knot. Arborist is coming back next month to grind out the stump. Not sure what I’m going to replace it with. -

I didn't know there was a Dave & Busters there! Sweet
I haven’t been since they opened. We go to the one in PVD Place some. But I haven’t been since Covid.
I used to live off of Rt 135 and Speen street back in the 90’s right after they enclosed that mall. They added a new wing in several years ago with high end stores. I haven’t been in there since Covid either. If it’s like the Cambridgeside Galleria, it’s dead. But Natick/Framingham is a pretty populated area so I’d guess it’s still somewhat busy. I saw where Lord and Taylor closed so they’re down another anchor store.I bought my first cell phone in that mall in 96.

they're doing vaccinations at the mall? cool
There was a 2 level Sears in the Natick mall that closed a couple of years ago. The second floor was taken over by Dave and Buster’s. The first floor is where they have the vaccination site.

Yankee talk, lol. I used to listen to those guys on Saturday mornings with Dick Raddatz back in the 90's. God that's been nearly 30 years go.

I just got a text that said “It’s almost your turn” and I’ll get a text tomorrow with a link to use to sign up for an appointment at one of the mass vaccination sites. Hopefully they’ll do it by location. Gillette or Natick would be the closest.
