    yeah it's idiotic - all the snow is basically man-made. I think one of the big problems is no one wants to host the winter olympics anymore.

    i guess they have very dry winters (monsoon-influenced climate), and it only snows like 10"/yr at that mountain where they are doing the giant slalom. kind of crazy

    just an example of the absurd NYC heat island (high of 54 in Central Park): Midnight temps: BOS - 40F NYC - 44F LGA - 45F PHL - 38F BWI -37F DCA - 40F My PWS downtown is at 43F right now.

    Caps having goaltender troubles, Beal out for the season, the Commanders LOL, no baseball rn (and we don't even know if Rizzo was going to make any moves) things aren't so hot for DC sports right now. UVA did beat Dook, but that's about it.
