  1. I think he’s basing that forecast on some in-house model. It’s the only thing that makes sense.
  2. During PD2, I was away in New Hampshire for the weekend. On the way home, we stopped in Massachusetts overnight and then headed back to Owings Mills. I was driving in the right lane of the beltway and realized the lane was about to end because it has not been plowed! Crazy to think how ill equipped they were for that storm. When we got home to our apartment complex it was like a bomb had gone off. Total chaos. What a storm that was.
  3. Crushed by the comma head. That would be awesome.
  4. The dreaded Miller B dry slot....aka the screw zone.
  5. Right. We shall see. I am south of 30 so that’s fine with me.
  6. PSUHoffman knows more than I will ever know about this stuff, but I still think it’s jumping the gun a bit. Who is EJ?
  7. Right. Waaaay too specific. Plus, it looks like, at the moment, what we do get will be snow. The biggest concern is suppression, not rain. Whatever model he’s using is smoking something.
  8. Come on....I don’t think we’re to that point yet.
  9. Hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies....
  10. Probably because he’s favoring the DEEP THUNDER model.
  11. I am excited! The pattern is promising. Let’s hope it delivers...
  12. Yes, we’ve had some big snowstorms. But that doesn’t mean the climate isn’t changing. Snow totals or mild winters don’t really signal climate shifts. Years and years of data do. I’m not saying it can’t snow anymore, but to completely deny that our area’s climate is changing is an opinion not based in reality.
  13. I agree. Things have changed and the Susquehanna valley is not necessarily what it used to be (during snowstorms). Things are shifting and it’s almost like the climate we have here is taking on the characteristics of somewhere south of here (Maryland, Virginia).
