  1. Friend up in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, got 10" last night. That's really quite rare for them. I did see some flakes this morning mixed in with raindrops.
  2. A lot of stations around the state will set record lows Tuesday night. Looks to be 19 in Harrisburg, for instance.
  3. My new furnace is keeping a toasty 70 here tonight. The new AC kept the house cold at even 75. Great system $10,500 can buy lol.
  4. If any of my Harrisburg area friends are around tomorrow, my wife and I will be at Pet Valu in Lemoyne noon-2pm signing calendars that feature our cat Pixel. She won a national vote to be featured and they go on sabe tomorrow. $5 ea h and go toward fighting animal cruelty. Come introduce yourself and let’s meet.
  5. Hm, which idiotic Facebook weather group said Harrisburg was going to get actual snow yesterday? Cause this is an awesome shot across the bow against the S&As out there ... @BrettThackABC27 For those of you seeing people putting out information about possible snow next Tuesday...just ask yourself how much snow we got yesterday. Find a source you trust. Otherwise, it could be a long winter for you.
  6. This was one of the more milder November election morning walks I can remember.
  7. Setup looks pretty good for a couple inches in the far northern tier, indeed. I bet we see flakes down here for a bit - mixed with rain probably but any flake before Thanksgiving is a win.
  8. Had to turn on the new furnace for the first time last night. Working like a champ. We never had made it to November 1 before but the lack of any early arctic air cold plunge made it easy,
  9. Most of Texas had a freeze last night - 27 in Austin, 29 in Dallas. They froze before most of PA.
  10. Harrisburg had 2.63" - a new daily record. 2.25" of that fell within an hour.
  11. @sauss06 your basement and work OK? My building at Front and Locust had about 4 inches water in it - and it's never had water in it before apparently.
  12. Water rescues in Harrisburg right now - cars stranded in flooded streets (Front, Cameron, Maclay)
  13. Wow how weak. Gust to 30 or so was it. Rain is heavy but expected more - no convection either. Edit: 10 mins after posting we did get convection. Nice thunder and a pretty vivid light show.
  14. Looks like down in Franklin County they have gusts up to 70, headed pretty much right at harrisburg. And moving at 50 mph. Like I says upthread, this is very similar to a Texas March setup.
  15. According to three different coworkers, we are all in a tornado warning. So there's that.
  16. Yeah, tonight looks like it'll wipe out a lot of the remaining foliage. It turned really pretty around here this week so sadly we'll miss a few more days (very late color this year, but I didn't expect much so it was a nice surprise).
