  1. Yeah, I miss it especially during summer for t-storm evolution. I wonder what happened, other than maybe just a repair that cost way too much for them to handle.
  2. Wow, nice! It's the first real winter day here - snowing all day (I mean, not even enough for a dusting but the air is filled with flakes), and yea it's chilly with the wind.
  3. Right on. And in clippers that need some CAD work Harrisburg proper more times than not will overperform. I can't tell you how many clippers have dropped 3" snow in two hours when no one really expected much of anything. I love those little things. Despite having somewhat of a heat island bias the city does CAD well. I assume the mountain cut immediately to the west and downsloping plays a big role there.
  4. I love March snowstorms cause it shuts up all the “winter is over” talk for a few days.
  5. Yah, Wednesday and Thursday brings all the cold air we needed the past two days. I'm shocked.
  6. Not the first time she's said that, I'm sure. I'll be here all week, folks.
  7. My gauge had 1.3". It rained hard for an extended period yesterday evening, and it hasn't stopped at all since early, early yesterday a.m.
  8. Nothing frozen here either - just mod to heavy rain. if it were July I’d be happy.
  9. Harrisburg prediction: .75” snow then just rain. Maybe it’ll lay on something other than cars this time.
  10. Haven’t seen this dense of fog in a few years. Fog is beautiful but scary when driving on dark backroads. Reminds me of a time in Texas we were crossing a lake and the fog on the bridge was so thick you couldn’t see the pavement. We had to stop and let someone out to walk in front of the car to avoid hitting the concrete barrier (curbing bridge). If anyone had come up behind us we’d have died I’m sure. That was probably the 2nd scariest experience I’ve ever had in a vehicle. (First was caught in a tornado off I-20 outside Dallas at 8:30 pm one April. I’ll never forget that noise, shaking, fear)
  11. We did end November slightly above normal didn't we, even with the early cold? Today feels like a real winter day, for sure! Next two weeks look unsettled for sure, here's hoping we get some temp cooperation.
  12. I hope you're right! I should clarify I'm by no means cancelling winter - I just have a feeling it's not going to be our year and we miss while others get hit. Not trying to be negative and not talking about any upcoming threat, just a raw feeling I have that I'm rooting to be wrong.
  13. I've had a gut feeling all fall this winter will be a very poor one for us LSV folks so I'm not getting any hopes up at all. We had such a good year last year (no big, big storm after that first one but we were above climo) that we have to pay the piper.
  14. I was outside at 7:05 and snow wasn’t on any car in downtown. It was quite dry, I think we missed precip.
