  1. Warm layers screwed that area of ET this morning, flipping to sleet before it should've.
  2. Looks like little zr and mostly snow but some sleet at the onset and wrap.
  3. My general thought in winter: Much like a woman, you take the 4-6” you get and be happy with it.
  4. Y’all won’t believe this but the GFS appears to be a @Cashtown_Coop jackpot.
  5. Brothers upstairs is now downstairs. And sounds like they’re finding lots of deceased around Galveston and Brazoria.
  6. My brothers upstairs is apparently downstairs due to busted pipes.

  8. If there's a W/NW wind, I get hammered and pray siding isn't ripped from the house.
  9. Forecast has gusts as high as 31, just had several past 40. And still blowing strong.
  10. Just now have a chance to look at Thursday. Looks like a general nice 3-6, maybe up to 8" to the north, event. Very nice.
  11. My parents got to -5 last night, shattering any record low ever. Dallas proper to go -2.
  12. Mighty impressive. What was the previous low for Longview, any idea?
  13. Off topic but people needs to be put in jail for the electrical grid failure. It's unfathomable they knew this was a problem, did nothing to address it, and just have punted down the road essentially.
  14. Guys pray for Texas. A nuclear plant is down and they already can’t generate enough electricity with it online. 1.4 million are without power (and it’s growing hourly) and it’s less than 15 degrees in a huge part of the state.
  15. Bad. 12” snow for my parents but power is out all over - go look at outage maps from DFW to Houston. My brother!s power has been out since 3 am and every sink has frozen pipes now. He left them dripping but they still froze solid. Parents might get to below zero tonight. Winds in the 20s too. Keep Texans in your thoughts. They and things there aren’t built for this.
  16. Weirdly MDT/Harrisburg isn’t in the ice storm warning.
  17. Thanks. I wish the thermala were colder to avoid that ice.
