Was on Caddo Lake (Google map it!) and our boat spring a leak so we marooned on an tiny island all night (no cell service and no way to see what was going on). That was terrifying knowing those snakes and gators were all around us.
Water moccasins and alligator gar, too. Had a moccasin jump in our boat one night night-fishing ... my bro immediately jumped out. My dad then said, "where do you think the snake came from?" hahahahahaha
My friend who has a ranch in Texas (it's actually cool - he breeds waygu cattle and buffalo) just bought a Gravely Pro Turn 600 mower and posted a video of him using it last weekend. That thing is amazing.
Rest of the 7 days look dry and warm. 90 probably Thursday, lots of upper 80s for us around HBG otherwise. Aside from afternoon heat-built pop up storms, dry as a bone.
Mostly sunny again. Prob all for the day. Finished the last 2 days with a mighty .12”, nary a measurable drop today. One of the bigger busts in the last 5 years.
We were supposed to have 1.25" by now. That didn't exactly work out, at all, did it.
Parents in Texas have 7" rain since midday yesterday, and days left to go it appears.
It was a cutoff that’d make winter blush. Getting us ready I guess. I’m calling a bit of a forecast bust. CTP has cut 1.5” max rain out of my grid within 4 hours. Not their fault the way that line came together and scampered NNE.
So is there more after this line? It’s going to miss HBG mostly entirely - will get a couple tenths at very most as of now as this like as progressing will miss mostly to my NW.
