    This is the time frame on the GFS upgrade where it saw some improvement and outscores the Euro, I guess we shall see.

    Well, It still comes down to the time frame your trying to hone in on, Obviously, A shorter lead will give you the most options, But by then, You should be into just the short range models so where do you draw the line?

    You should use everything that is available and weigh them, Toss the outliers, And blend the rest by percentages to try to come out with a reasonable outcome.

    Best to wait on some of the other models in the 0z suite before passing judgement, And i won't until at least 12z tomorrow.

    In general, I don't think any one model has performed very well inside 72 hrs on any event.

    The Nam at this lead shouldn't influence anyone's thinking TBH.

    Its compressing the flow a bit downstream.

    And some models are more sensitive to it then others, The higher res models for example is when you can get feedback issues.

    Yeah, So far, That convection is there, It keeps showing up, But i did notice it looked weaker and east on the OP at 18z from the 12z run, And the SLP heading off the Carolina coast wasn't as influenced by it as it moved north, I think that can still get overcome going forward.

    Looks like there's still a few holdout members to the east on that 18z EPS but a lot fewer of them with a heavy cluster on the mean and to the west.
