  1. Chlorides are temp sensitive, You can get away with sodium in CT, But you would have to go to a more effective and less budget friendly calcium because of colder temps here that's why salt/sand blends are still used, I sold this stuff for years, Sodium (salt) chloride is the least expensive.
  2. Never say never, Just saying, Sand gives you traction, Of course your area never gets below 5F where salt is useless....lol
  3. Sodium chloride is so environmentally unhealthy.
  4. A sand blend is a staple, Wait until your DPW shortfalls hit and supply chain problems are realized, Your going back in times.

  13. Very low bar last year, Still need quite a bit of work to get to seasonal avg, Not sure its going to be doable though, -3.2°F was the low here but we've rebounded to 25°F already today.
  14. When you get waves crashing over the bow on a 31' boat, For sure.
  15. Other then Jordan Bay, More often then not, Its open water in the basin between Frye Island back to the Songo River, Your talking a depth of 316', That shape of the lake is close to round so it does not matter the wind direction and can build 3-5' ers from all directions.
  16. 7" more right now then all of last year, Still running below normal.
