  1. nah i dont think youre pessimistic, per say. you just have higher expectations than the rest of us on what falls into severe categories.
  2. def follow @CAPE posts since he's a mid-eastern shore resident.
  3. not a silly question! welcome! yeah, the tornado threat is for any discrete cells that may pop up, and/or tornadoes that may spin up in a QLCS (quasi-liner convection system) aka bowing lines Wind seems to be the biggest threat today, hence the 30% from SPC. But can't rule out a tornado.
  4. mark tweets often enough. he's got a kid now and this place tends to fall off the radar with young ones at home.
  5. its uncanny. i love this place, truly i do. we all play our roles, we all know what they are. and yet we still give each other shit over it. love it.
  6. QLCS tornadoes worry me more than stand alone supercell tornadoes. QLCS are harder to predict as they can quickly spin up and do a bit of damage before dying out.
  7. steamy for sure. windows all fogged up with condensation
  8. was texting Ava a bit this morning -- she thinks Baltimore south has better chances than north due to morning rain/clouds.
  9. hi friend! doing as well as we can, hope you're good too!
  10. I’m keeping an eye on stuff out west, as EJ said. Hasn’t been too sunny here today, 82/75 currently. I dunno maybe the storms will get more robust? Tomorrow looks legit, from what I’ve read here. Thanks @andyhb for chiming in.
  11. i will never get used to Ava retweeting my tweets.
  12. we didn't do too bad in the spring for first grade. she paid attention. i am however going to have her with me for the first couple days so i know how the routine will go before we let her have class in her room.
  13. no ice storm please! the feb 2015 one was pretty sucky up this way
  14. picked up some supplies for the kiddo from school today. lots of workbooks, reading books and counting pieces. much much better than the spring where we had to print things or wait for stuff in the mail.
