Oh ok. I wasn't here that winter except for christmas so don't really remember what happened. Was my only Chicago winter and managed to be there for the big new years storm they had which I think at the time was their 2nd biggest

I believe in 98-99 we had the Christmas eve event and then our biggest storm came in March that year

Most likely no since it's a fast mover and will be out pretty quickly. I'd say 1.5" is the max for a few lucky spots up north or west but most of us end up <1"

It seems like it skips from 12 to 15z and forgets snow fell in between -

This could surprise alot of people since upton hasn't really been talking about it. They're making it sound like it will be pretty light but I think while accumulations wont be much it could be heavy for a time

98 had 1-3" of snow on Christmas eve morning with just enough left to qualify for a white Christmas

No. It actually busted badly for areas sw of Philly. Wasn't a surprise storm except for maybe the 2 foot amounts

Yeah but it was modeled well in advance. Then the models lost it until about 36 hours out. Jan 2000 wasn't showing up at all and then we ended up with this I remember waking up to 2 to 3"/hr rates then a dry slot from hell
