  1. Website does the same to me on mobile
  2. Hey some of y'all are doing better than Dallas. We've seen basically nothing for almost 4 years (save for the far northern suburbs)
  3. DFW winter hasn't even been close to the hype. Glad I was up in McKinney for the covering of snow up there a couple weeks back
  4. Severe thunderstorm currently traversing the metroplex. 60mph winds and nickel size hail
  5. Sometimes late February/early March can save a season (2014-2015 comes to mind). Am beginning to seriously consider the possibility that this is a "new normal" for DFW rather than a temporary anomaly. If no snow falls this season down by the airport we'll officially be in the longest snowless streak on record EDIT: If this seasons ends up at 5th warmest then 15-16, 16-17, and this winter winter then 3 of the last 4 years will fall in the top 10. Meanwhile 09-10 is the only season from this century in the top 10 coldest, with the next most recent top ten being 83-84.
  6. Slight risk extending into DFW metro. Spring getting started early I guess
  7. Meanwhile a tornado watch has been issued until 1 PM for parts of Louisiana and Mississippi
  8. Outside chances of both severe weather and winter weather within a 24 hour period is peak north Texas
  9. Winter storm watch up for western north Texas. May get a dusting in DFW area. Don't want to get my hopes up too much though
  10. I'd be happy with a dusting at this point, ecstatic for a half inch
  11. Fort Worth office mentioned possibility of snow late Thursday/early Friday if temps are cooler than expected. Skeptical but intrigued
  12. Really hope this year is not like last year with all the cold rain
  13. Yep it was the Wednesday event! Just wasn't seeing it discussed anywhere else so was curious
  14. Wasn't it last year where models always had some sort of winter storm that was perpetually seven days out that just never came? Though I will say a snowy Halloween would be very fun
  15. Can't help but think this is a Freudian slip given the lack of snow the last few years. Hoping this year is different but the wettest falls are usually followed by well below average snowfall historically so not getting my hopes up
  16. Some really nasty floodong across TX these past few days. Really something else
  17. Feels like there's an inverse relationship between severe storm liklihood and SPC risk level for the DFW metro this season
  18. Getting reports of tennis ball sized hail in Coppell, TX moving into Arlington
