  1. Fort Worth office mentioned possibility of snow late Thursday/early Friday if temps are cooler than expected. Skeptical but intrigued
  2. Really hope this year is not like last year with all the cold rain
  3. Yep it was the Wednesday event! Just wasn't seeing it discussed anywhere else so was curious
  4. Wasn't it last year where models always had some sort of winter storm that was perpetually seven days out that just never came? Though I will say a snowy Halloween would be very fun
  5. Can't help but think this is a Freudian slip given the lack of snow the last few years. Hoping this year is different but the wettest falls are usually followed by well below average snowfall historically so not getting my hopes up
  6. Some really nasty floodong across TX these past few days. Really something else
  7. Feels like there's an inverse relationship between severe storm liklihood and SPC risk level for the DFW metro this season
  8. Getting reports of tennis ball sized hail in Coppell, TX moving into Arlington
  9. This winter was nothing to write home about in the DFW area either. Already looking forward to the snow season but after the last few years not optimistic
  10. Those 1200-1300 tornado predictions from the other thread not looking so hot
  11. Hey at least 2017 met the average tornado count wise
  12. Nothing but pouring rain from that pop up shower at UTD right now EDIT: Another nasty looking cell has popped up right behind the tornado warned one. Looks like a second line of storms forming behind the first in some areas EDIT: https://imgur.com/a/fRgXB View looking northeast from UTD at the formerly tornado warned storm
  13. That would be me at UTD. Pretty blase reaction on campus rn. My dad is in the warning area near far west Prosper/McKinney border
  14. Amazing how quickly that line is blowing up EDIT: Is that western cell heading into Dallas county splitting?
  15. Tornado watch out for parts of ArkLaTex extending into Mississippi
  16. Enahnced risk extended westward, now covers a good chunk of Dallas proper. Don't like this emerging tradition of massive hail storms at least once a year
  17. In addition to today's threat, SPC out with a 15% contour for Day 4 that includes a good chunk of the northeastern parts of the state stretching into central TX, including DFW and Austin
  18. Yeah was out driving earlier and definitely got "the feel" that something might be brewing but mentally deferred to the SPC
