Call me crazy but if this doesn’t work out and the AI models don’t verify… wouldn’t this be a point for @Typhoon Tip? Hear me out.
The AI models are looking at historical data vs current at initialization and running it through (it’s not learning despite what people think), at a very basic level. So 20, 30, yrs ago- whatever, given current ingredients we would be looking at a plowable snow. But fast flow, gradient etc… it ends up weak ( that has been the theme for yrs) and east.

The AI is learning on its own too..gotta take that into consideration also. Gets better every time.
Not trying to break balls but this is a fundamental misunderstanding of ai as it pertains to weather models.

Glad we removed the science related debate on the meteorology board to give the snowflakes their safe space.

Really interesting read about climate induced home insurance premium increases. no pay wall on the link. Coming to a neighborhood near you.

I tried, got nothing- I assume facing north?
edit: don’t be an idiot like me and double check your exposures people. Very nice show.

Going to clear out for tonight?? Anyone got a link to the real-time monitor, so I don’t have to guess?

Kinda OT but willing to bet we see more startups with this goal in mind (reducing climate change itself) I’m interested to see governments worldwide react (or not) to this eventuality. Will every country have their own national player? Interesting to ponder.

I’d def be down and run it for 10-12 people. $100 fee? All fees would obvs be paid out, if there is legit interest lemme know and I’ll get it set up on sleeper or something.

You'd have to know what the exponential value is to be precise. Than you can take the root ( determine )... like, maybe if it's the exponential increase goes by the square, than you take the square root of 8.
something like day 2.8 or so. that point in time should stop the momentum. seems intuitive. heh, at least you're not giving the interviewer dead air, gaped mouth and vacant stair for an answer
Easier than you think, if it doubles everyday you’d have to cut it by the end of day 7. Up until that point it looks like a manageable problem- until all of a sudden it’s not. Same thing with cc…again just imho and don’t want to derail things.

The future can not be extrapolated using a linear inference ...unless we're fucking morons.
IMHO this is the key, the human brain hasn’t evolved to properly understand the risks of exponential relationships. Our brains just don’t compute it, at a population level. It’s how you get the Covid fiasco, people blowing their funds up on the yen carry etc etc…
there’s an interview question about a pond with invasive vines that choke out all life. The pond is basically clear now but the vines double everyday and will choke the pond in 8 days if they’re not cleared. On what day must the pond be cleared to avoid catastrophe?

I‘m not privileged enough to know why. Nor is this the space for that type of speculation. Only reason I called it out here was the amount of metal flying east is hard to fathom. The 22’s listed above usually wouldn’t be forward deployed for long, along with like +25% of the E-3 fleet makes me think this isn’t a build up for a 2 day strike campaign. Turns out the media picked it up too finally and we saw some stories yesterday/ day before
