Someone said it went from 8-12 to 4-6 snow/crud for Wake? Not shabby. Frankly, I think. January will be stormy. I think Jonathan Wall tweeted about Jan 3-21 being interesting and maybe this is just an appetizer. I’m not gonna complain about this one if it’s busts. The kids don’t need to be missing school for snow yet. Only so many make-up days. School is out June 11 and we fly out the 15th to the Dominican.

Well seems all the tv mets are saying 1-3.

Looks like the Fish is sticking to his 1-3. Even after the NWS jump.

Interesting watching NWS RAH upping totals for the Wake area to 4-6in in the 5:30 briefing.

Sometimes it’s hard to decipher if there’s just fascination with a new run or if we should buy into it.

Are we settling on the Nam now or just focused on it because it just came out?

Yes. They said about an hour ago they felt they needed to up the totals and may need to keep adjusting.

I’m aware that’s not an accumulation forecast. I’m still shocked a tv met is saying number that high period. Ours sure isn’t here. And Brad isn’t an alarmist.

Hope everyone is ok. That was really rough. We had so many neighbors lose trees and they speared houses. NW Raleigh. Off Millbrook.

Near Millbrook and Glenwood. Powers of and on now 5x. Can hear booms. Trees are coming down in the neighborhood.

Wow. Fishel said it could be over 50mph and not unheard of to see 60-70mph.

My phone is going off like crazy from met people I follow on twitter. I think it’s gonna hit the fan here in Wake County soon.

Just watched Wral and there was a quick verbal comment if possible 60mph here and there (with no timing or reference) but nothing visual or on the futurcast. With the backside they are showing 20s. Either they don’t buy it, or heck I don’t know.

Yeah. Regardless of the NWS release on the squall potential, tv mets are meh.

Looks like the NWS RAH is willing to start baby stepping into this backend talk. Saying 55mph+ For now. Foreshadowing. Now to get the local tv mets to mention it. You know, so the public knows.
