  1. In my line of work it's unavoidable. I've had lyme three times. Catch it early and doxicillin the next day you're right as rain. If you ever catch Anaplasmosis however don't mess around. Had it once when it was pretty much unknown in New England. Drove myself to the hospital about 2 miles away and got lost. I was burning up. 106° temperature. They admitted me right away. My blood counts were unreal. What was kind of cool though was I found out the CDC really does its job. They called me right away.
  2. It's a regular Crow fest today! Couldn't get any nicer.
  3. Pro like you shouldn't need any stupid radar. You have a nose for ozone.
  4. Yeah except it's more like 110 there. I have spent a couple Junes in Phoenix. If you see someone outside you give up them a double take.
  5. Rhode Island has become the rain Capital of New England
  6. My nephew found a Merlin falcon on the side of the road. I wish I had known before he let it go. I guess they can be pretty good hunters.
  7. I still have plenty. And my beeches are dying as well. Like somebody else posted The copper beach still looks great. Weird that just a little different DNA wards off The disease.
  8. Hopefully we get lucky during the upcoming unsettled period. Always a crap shoot this time of year.
  9. I think folks will be ready for it. After tomorrow it looks pretty crappy for a while. " Our weather pattern then changes to a cloudy and more unsettled outlook by Thursday and continuing into early next week. Widespread rain showers and embedded thunderstorms are expected on Thursday. Shower and thunderstorm coverage for Friday into Monday then becomes more scattered with some dry periods at times. Temperatures trend slightly cooler than normal.
  10. It's likely this. If it was winter moths they would have eaten the maples as well. "Beech leaf disease (BLD) affects and kills both native and ornamental beech tree species"
  11. With the rust does the whole tree discolor at the same time usually? And thanks
  12. Seeing this quite a bit on smallish pines ( 5 to 10 in in diameter) . Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
  13. That just looks so summer. Thanks for posting.
  14. Next stop Connecticut. Poor wiz. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/joro-spiders-new-york-giant-venomous-spiders-spread-east-coast/
  15. They likely breed in Tolland where it is hot all the time.
  16. A good choice. I've never owned one but a good friend has had two. Both of them breezed to 200,000 mi.
  17. Golf outing season has started. Can't find a tee time till late in the afternoon.
  18. Yuck, showers from Thursday to Tuesday. Hopefully that doesn't come about.
  19. Tippy speaks of different language you know that.
  20. "Not impressed with the course though. They jacked the prices quite a bit while the quality of the fairways was not very good. Greens were only so so and wouldn't play the reads because they weren't cut well - certainly not the for dollars spent" The place is a dog track now. You played the South course since you had to go over ( or in) the little pond on your first shot. I think it's going to become a solar farm pretty soon.
  21. And we don't care about you. So there...
