  1. Hopefully your high dew points will enhance the snowfall.
  2. Thankfully it looks like we're one of the cool spots for August. Hopefully some fine golf weather!
  3. .12 for the day and just over 2 inches for the month. What happened to the widespread 1 to 4 inches in sne some were calling for today?
  4. You left yourself wide open with that one. But I'm too polite.
  5. Yeah wagons were pretty much south. Thankfully only .01 here. Looks like a garbage week ahead. Sucks to lose a week of summer. " Occasional showers and a few thunderstorms with localized downpours are expected today as an upper level low pressure moves across the region. It is trending drier for Tuesday before more widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms develop on Wednesday as another system moves through. It then turns hot and humid for Thursday through next weekend, but an unsettled weather pattern will continue with chance of showers or thunderstorms at times.
  6. More videos of the dragonflies . Pay site might have to delete cookies. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2024/07/28/metro/dragonfly-swarm-rhode-island/
  7. At least we're getting some phantom hurricanes finally.
  8. Cutting back on the widespread 1 to 4 inches for all of SNE?
  9. What time does the widespread flooding begin?
  10. I guess bears do have claws. https://patch.com/connecticut/across-ct/ct-black-bear-her-baby-rip-apart-car-after-being-trapped-inside?_gl=1*1f4evgi*_ga*ZU15dm41dlVoSS1talR3WFR6SHpOMEE4SGY2cnZKWldRbWFRWGI4X0l0Uk1WUHc1N1NHYzhWZ1ZYRFpHam1TTA..*_ga_R7P12PW6FE*MTcyMjA5MjQxNi4xLjAuMTcyMjA5MjQxNy4wLjAuMA..
  11. Hit or miss showers. It's not 4 inches region-wide.
  12. For sure. Back in the early '80s when I was in college my summer job was driving a truck. My route on Friday was picking up "mini computers" from Data General in westborough and delivering to New York City. Boss gave clear instructions to only drop where they had a loading dock . They were huge...
  13. A beauty! Only problem is I couldn't use the " it's too hot" excuse not to finally fix the garage doors on the old farmhouse.
  14. It was dry. 1968 or 69 I believe. By the end of the drought the entire pond dried.
  15. There goes the deweyest ever. Oh well...
  16. Likely a springpole. They are a menace. Even when you know what you're doing. It's counterintuitive to cut where there's the most pressure . Elm and white oak spring poles are the worst (another reason not to cut elm). I usually hack them with a hatchet before I go in with the saw.
  17. Good observation. It had enough forward lean that it wasn't necessary. Made damn sure however I had a clean path just in case. Working alone I don't mess around.
  18. Taking advantage of the relatively cool air. Going to have to wade through a lot of crap to saw this up. Greenbrier and shorts don't mix if you value your skin.
