Sorry but when the team fails this hard from what expectations were the owner deserves some blame. Your being naive if you think owners aren't involved in signing of marquee free agents or in big trades when your trading away blue chip prospects for an ace. Elias deserves the majority of the blame, more than Hyde and certainly more than Rubinstein, but Reubenstein is not immune from any criticism. Now it's up to him to fire Elias after the season. My guess is he will get 1 more chance to fix this.

They spent no meaningful money over the off season. There we're ace's out there to be had but we end up with Charlie Morton and Kyle Gibson. How the F does that happen? Lol. I'm not sure I'd call it a slump as much as a tough match up. The canes were favored in the series and have a great chance at winning the cup. There forecheck is relentless and they just overwhelmed the caps. I thought Logan Thompson was awesome for the majority of the time and kept the games closer than what they actually were.
