Most games he seems to try to just pull the ball. I think he's turned into a selfish player but that's just my opinion watching his approach at the plate. In Boston he took a couple away pitches and hit them off the green monster, which I loved to see but haven't really seen that approach since. He's got too much Talent to be batting sub .220 He needs to be further down in the line up but that won't happen.

Agreed. The biggest question around this team is what has happened to Gunner Henderson. He's not anything close to his 2024 MVP caliber season. Last year was a step back and this year even more dramatic. Below average hitter and defensive for SS. He's 25. Should be in his prime.

If they finish with atleast 75 wins my guess is Elias is still around. I get the impression Rubinstein is going to be patient with the front office.

When you say how is the defense this bad and we're on the 3rd set of hitting coaches in 4 years , it definitely sounds like it the players and the person who chose said players .

I think you may be over valuing the core. Serious question. Why do you feel it's Elias and company, not the players? I would say its both. At some point players have to play and perform. None on the current roster has done it at all or hasn't really done it in a few years. I don't really see any clutch players on this team. A few years ago Satander and O'hearn were clutch late in games. Maybe Adly somewhat, but other than that...? Gunner is suppose to be there best player, but man do I hate to see him come up late in the game with runners on base during a close game. Ussually ends with him pissed off chucking his bat lol.

I agree that Elias needs to go. 2 full seasons of games is a pretty big sample size for the players. At some point players need to play and they haven't done that in 2 years. The majority of this current roster hasn't won crap at the Major League level. Take a look at the 2023 roster that won 101 games. Most are gone now. I'm not sure if their underachieving or just not as good as they were all billed to be. For Adley he's having a better season but his last 2 were disasters . If you look at his numbers he's probably back in the top 10 catchers in the League conversation but being the number 1 pick he also hasn't lived up to the billing.You can see his decline Athletically over the past 2 seasons. I hate to see when he's 33,34 years old. I certainly wouldn't entertain extending him. There's plenty of other Catchers that are better offensively and defensively. If Adley and Gunner are your big 1 ,2 punch to build around, that's a pretty soft 1 and 2 compared to other teams around the league.

Yeap. This team is much less talented than they were made out to be. Lots of AAA mashers that weren't able to replicate the same success against MLB pitching. And most are below average defensively. Pair that with Free agent signings like Tyler O'Neil and stop gap starters like Charlie Morton and Chris Bassett and this is what you get.

Go back and take a look at their 2023 roster that won 101 games. Most are gone. If there still here they've been progressively worse the last few years. I think some of those players Elias lucked into as he was not planning on actually contending in 2023. He was thinking they were still a year away. Look at them the last few years when Elias thought this was the time for them to contend lol. Time for Elias to go bye byes.

Going back exactly 2 years from today since 7/07/24 they are 151- 174. That's a .464 winning % Time to do something different here. It's not working. This team is not good and hasn't been good with this core in 2 years. Pretty much everyone that is considered there core is either underperforming or not available.

It's really hard to fiquire out exactly why, but it's been 2 full seasons of bad baseball going back to about the half point in 2024. It's not a small sample size anymore. The team just isn't as talented as what they were made out to be. Even Gunner has been on a downward spiral for the last 2 seasons. I'm torn on what direction they need to head in long term but what there doing now isn't working and hasn't worked for 2 full seasons now.

Can we sell the GM and Manager too. This team is awful. I loved when they puffed there chest out after taking 2 of 3 from the dodgers saying they can play with anyone.

Yeah. At this point Elias and Albernaz both need to go. I think they messed up with not brining back Showalter.

Yeah. Not looking good. My son has a tournament in Winchester this weekend. We're supposed to play Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Sunday looks like it could end up ok. Sucks to go right to Bracket play on Sunday. Not sure what they would do
