  1. Definitely need something to change the Pacific. It's been a thorn for several years now. Ussually ninas are better further north but for mby I fully expect next winter to be a total dumpster fire. Right now it looks pretty bleak.
  2. Except for seasonal modeling in ninas. I'm sure the depiction from cansips of January 2025 will be spot on lol.
  3. The funny thing is once the ensembles went to Meh in the long range now we're starting to get some better looks from the Ops lol. Go fiquire
  4. One thing I learned this winter is ussually Chuck knows what he's talking about. His long range prophecies ussually cone true. The problem is I don't speak chuck. I need an interpreter or something
  5. My wag on next year is we will probably have 1 shot at a decent storm and if we hit it it would be just a crappy winter. If we don't it will be a historically bad winter again.
  6. And these threads will be completely unreadable next year lol
  7. I'm fully expecting next winter to be a replay of last winter. It's going to be a dumpster fire.
  8. Did any of the airports pick up anything today ? In regards to the snowfall contest?
  9. Looks like 3.75" here in Smithsburg. A few miles from the M/D. This looked impossible 48 hours ago.
  10. I'm just under 3.5. Flake Size increase over the last 5 minutes. Hoping to make it to 4" . Looks like maybe another hour to accumulate?
  11. I'm sure they had a 2 hour head start above 1500 ft
  12. Nice! The mesos had your area in the 6"+ range last night and my area in the 3 to 5 range. Looks like they did a pretty good job. Atleast in our areas.
  13. Seeing reports of 6" + in the higher elevations close to us.
  14. What are you up to now? I just measures 3" on the west side of the Catoctins
  15. I believe it. That's about 1500 ft in elevation. I'm in Smithsburg at about 750' . Just measured 3"
  16. Yes it is. When it was over Washington County it was real rippage probably close to 2" per hour rates. Even behind that band it's moderate snow and still piling up nicely. Places to the East should have several more hours of snow when you flip.
  17. Heavy snow 32 degrees in Smithsburg. Estimating maybe a little less than an inch so far. Stickage on everything including roads
  18. Yes definitely less precip. Compare the latest run with the 18z. Big drop off with qpf
