    Watches and warnings of many types are issued far more often than 50+ years ago. Everyone in my family has turned off weather alerts on their phones due to the excessive number issued. Sadly, the alerts have become more noise than signal due to their quantity.

    When the dew point is below freezing, does a sling psychrometer still function properly? I would think the wet bulb would ice up. That would both release latent heat and reduce evaporation, thus distorting the wet bulb measurement, no?
