    Flash Flood Watch for the DC metro area. That was kind of unexpected. Radar looks like poo. I guess we'll see.

    Third evening this week with heavy rain and lots of lightning and thunder for hours. My dry spell seems like a distant memory now.

    It's just a thin stripe of high clouds. I'm 7 miles west of there and it already passed my area. I see it just to my east. Full sun here now. Feels primed for lots of lightning and rain today.

    Nice classic stormy summer evening 2 days in a row. Lots of rain, lightning and thunder for hours. Can't ask for a better summer evening imo.

    Looks like a little over an inch here so far and it's rumbling hard to my west. Looks like more incoming.

    Thunder in every direction around me but still rock hard ground. I hate watering my garden while worried about being struck by lightning from a dumping storm 3 miles away.

    Had a surprise little thundershower here for about 5 minutes. Much more rain just to my east.

    It's pretty damn dry here despite a couple light rains. Any rain in the path month has hardly wet my driveway under the trees though. The ground is like cement in my yard.

    Radar hallucinations already this morning. It almost looks like it want to rain today from DC east. I know it won't but the radar looks interesting.. kinda. This has been one boring stretch of weather.

    I guess we're going to pay for the tolerable weather we've had. I'm sure we'll be blazing hot now through Oct.

    Decent line of storms headed in my direction from the NW. It actually looks like it's gaining some juice. Now that my edible is kicking in it's a perfect time for a Jebwalk.

    Actually getting really crispy here. No rain for almost a month. Today looks like yet another swing and miss in my area. Weird how spotty the rain was in July. 5 miles from me is a green and lush.

    Me neither. The ground here is bone dry and rock hard. Hasn't rained in almost a month while 4 miles east of my house it's a swampy mess. Cloudy and almost early fall like out there this morning. I hope the models are correct and I get a couple inches of rain tomorrow.

    That enhanced risk ended up bringing me a 10 minute shower that probably dropped .05". Still dry under the trees and ground is rock hard. It went from swamp to desert in 30 days.

    That's what I was wondering. Hasn't rained here in about 3 weeks. At this point I just want some rain.
