Colorado dendrites have moved in. Midlevel cold push doing its thing.
I guess that won't make it east of DC. Flooding

Pouring rain all afternoon with a steady temp of 37. Have fun everyone and enjoy your snow.
-
Temp torching in my area. It's gone from 31 to 34 since 5:30am. Not expecting anything here except 60's all next week lol

Yea...we could have a decent feb 15 to early March but after pD weekend...my winter excitement goes from a 10 to a 5. This distaster at day10 is a killer because we arnt scoring anything noteworthy before then. A good winter is not happening. Now its trying to get one event to salvage
I hope we can score at least some flooding if spring starts in 10 days lol
-
So now were back to "winter is over"? I'll come back and look in a day or so. It will be "the weekly is epic, major -nao and perfact Pacific!". This has been the story all winter. My guess is that winter goes on like it always does. Some rain, some slop, some warm some cold then spring.
-
If it's not going to snow then I'm routing for some heavy rain, strong winds and flooding. Better then lip chapin, bone dry worthless cold with no snow cover. Radar looks good and I'm digging the wind advisory. Should be decent little storm.

Two long range threads is getting confusing.

13 degrees outside. 78 inside with the woodstove roaring. I can hear the wind roaring through the trees. It's a beautiful winter night. I just I had blowing and drifting.

Great little event this evening. I chose a great week to take off work. I've had a great week of wintery weather. I picked up a solid inch this evening bringing me up to just about 11" for the season. Not bad at all for mid January.
-
Radar looks surprisingly good to the west and SW. I'm under very light returns and it's still a nice steady light snow.

Another big band coming through DC. Can this one survive the trip into AA county?
So far it isn't. It's been 10 miles south of me for the past 90 minutes. Seems to have 0 NE movement. Congrats to everyone under it.

Just about 6" on the dot on the snowboard. I was lucky with some localized heavy band overnight. Now I'm waiting to see if the coastal brings more love today. I hope temps stay steady.

Jebwalk to the farm time. Everyone have a wonderful evening.
30 with sparkling, floating snowflakes

Beautiful floating dendrites. It looks like I'm nearing 3.5". It's been a long time since I've seen a radar like I'm seeing this evening. It just keeps on comin.
-
Radar really blossomed around DC in the past 20 minutes. It just wants to snow. Estimating about 3" already and plenty more to come.
-
I've already got a nice car topper here in AA county. It's been steady light snow here for the past hour.
-
Beautiful evening. I could see the first sign of high clouds way off to the west at sunset. I'm definitely ready for the wee..I mean cold smoke storm tomorrow night. Sunday morning is going to be a beauty.

Don't worry folks between mid March and mid April we will probably have a bunch of rainy nor'easters that drop 6" of rain each with winds gusting to 60 mph.
I hope so. At least we would finally get some interesting weather. By then we will be tired of cloudy, damp and 50 everyday

So much complaining from the N&W of 95 crew. Didn't you guys get a 7 incher back in Nov? I've had 10 minutes of mangled flakes this winter and doesn't look good for Jan.

One county in NJ was warned on, impressive
I have a snow junkie friend that lives in that county. He was amazed at what happened. He ended up with nearly 4".

Storm mode? This isn't NC lol

It was average. It usually last 2 days before flipping to crap. Don't worry.. in a few days it will be epic again.
