Last few frames on the radar look like things are blossoming west of DC metro.

Big time -AO coming. +PNA too in the medium range, but I'm not sure any of this matters.
Will it keep it cool/wet? That definitely matters when you hate summer heat like I do.
-
Just looking at long range. Endless hot dry boring weather. Yay summer..

It is awful out.
Yup. I've been dreading this crap. Looks like we get a couple more nice days early next week before the swamp air returns.

0.51" today.
Rte 450 closed for high water at the usual place. Nothing new here.
You must live in my neighborhood. 450 has always been bad but it's been horrible for the past year. It's basically always flooded.

Thought I would be the first to get my snowfall predictions up for this summer. Call me a Nostradamus if you like but I do feel this will be a very tight competition between the contest participants.

Actually its been pretty dry recently. My soil is dry and dusty for the first time since last July.
Same here. Today isn't looking good for much rain. I guess I'll be pulling the hose out to water my potatoes.

I had 5 drops of rain from this event. Bring on the 70's

I am up in Warrensburg NY. Got about 4 inches last night on top of the foot they already have.
A place where a real winter happens. I can't wait to move out of the MA.
Raining down there?
Yup. All night. I've never seen such mud in my life. I'd love to live where real winter happens.

Rain all afternoon here. Finally getting some slush now. Typical AA country performance.

I'm guessing I'm not getting snow today. The sun is out and this thread looks like ESPN. I can take a hint.

Ripping fatties here in severna park. Looks like 4+ inches on the ground. Surprised it turned back to all snow. Hearing a ping or 2 as I type.

The start time over here has ALWAYS been projected to be 7-8 AM. That was consistent on the modeling for a week.
Yeah, but that doesn't help get me off work lol. Moderate snow falling now.

Woke up to nothing here in AA country. Looks like I'll be headed to work today.

Sucks going to bed thinking I'm in for 4-6" and waking up to models saying 1-2" of slop then flooding rain.

NWS - Warning for Purcellville shows the 4 to 6 inches. Point and click shows 5 to 9 inches. Expected is 7" on winter page.
I am thinking 4 to 6 inches personally. Then icy mess. Hopefully no power issues but 0.22 inches of ice will be worse than what we just had last week and that was bad news out here, especially just to my west. Gonna be a long next few days
I would say more of a 24 hours period. Looks like we go above freezing Wednesday afternoon and keep on rising to near 60 Thursday.

word of the day...cutter.
march will be epic.
I hope not. I'm so over March slop. Here we go with another spring starting in early Feb. It's been piss poor around here since 2010.

Serious question. Why does every model always show a -nao at the end of every run that never verifies?

January long during cold storm of 2019. It was a very enjoyable storm. It was a real gem.

Radar looks great South of Baltimore towards Annapolis and DC east
It's not making it to the ground. Maybe a pixie dust flake or 2.

Looks like we went from possible strong storms to cloudy and boring. Looks like I've got a lot of watering to do in my garden over the next week and probably well beyond. Ugh.. my least favorite season is in full force.
